Whereof what is PAST is PROLOGUE..." Shakespeare

Recently I've read a small, beautiful novel. The bitter-sweet story of a young woman who is struggling all her life to find solace, inner peace seemed to jumped out of the pages. When she was a young child while playing with her little friends by the banks of a river on a sunny summer afternoon a little one slipped down the river and the wind whispered: Good bye. 18 years later, the character of this book still struggles with guilty feelings until some sudden events begin to heal her… Continue

Friendship Is Like A Flower

by Regina

Friendship is like a flower,

Glowing in its glory,

Each and every seed,

Telling its own story.

So I picked this flower,

And pulled it apart,

And soon all its pieces,

Grew into my heart.

But… Continue

THE PASSING OF A LOVED ONE...

Mind and heart don't always agree to work together in an unison purpose to provide balance to the soul. It simple doesn't work that way. Instead, they pull apart in separate directions, contradicting each other. And there you are, perfectly still in the middle, listening to both arguments, contemplating your options. The sensible YOU agrees infinitively with your noble heart while conscious and mind are screaming in warning signs.

I can count many logical reasons, all in a perfect,… Continue

ATTITUDE

This morning, I woke up to a sad news: a 27 year old girl was killed by an avalanche while skiing in bound near by home town. There she was, following all the rules,an expert skiing who has been doing it since age five; doing what she loved to do most in life: skiing, yet, in one split second, she was gone. It gave me something to think about: For once, life is short and we most live each and every day as if it were our last day upon this planet. But, most of all, I am making a conscious… Continue

A BEAUTIFUL POEM.

BRAVE AND STARTLING TRUTH

Maya Angelou

(...)

We, this people on a small and lonely planet

Traveling through causal space

Past aloof stars, across the way of indifferent suns

To a destination where all signs tell us

It is possible and imperative that we discover

A brave and startling truth

And when we come to it

To the day of peacemaking

When we release our fingers

From fists of hostility

And allow the pure air to… Continue

DAY OF THANKS!

I sent this message to my new found friends two days ago. Here it is for those newly found friends;only because, EVERYDAY SHOULD BE A DAY OF THANKS.

For those who are living in the US and hold the Thanksgiving tradition: HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!

For those of you friends in far away lands: Walking up everyday, having one more opportunity to be part of this life, this existence, this planet: its in itself a blessing, a reason to be thankful for. That's something to celebrate every… Continue

"THE WEB OF LIFE"

The power of abstract thinking has led us to treat the natural environment - the web of life - as if it consisted of separate parts, to be exploited by different interest groups. Moreover, we have extended this fragmented view to our human society, dividing it into different nations, races, religious and political groups. The belief that all these fragments - in ourselves, in our environment, and in our society - are really separate has alienated us from nature and from our fellow human beings,… Continue

THE UNIVERSE

Cuddled up among great significant stories of war, violence, hunger and persecution, one particular article, with perhaps not as much significance to our world right now; caught my attention: A new Solar System, similar to ours, with a star and three orbiting planets around it, had been captured for the first time in pictures. Astronomers, proudly announced:

"For the first time, we have taken snapshots of a multi-planet solar system, much like ours, orbiting another star."Every extra… Continue

NOVEMBER DAYS

It hasn't stopped raining since last night. The day has been cold, gloomy and dark. It's the perfect invitation to cuddle up with a great book by the fire place to read. My readings are taking me as far as 1994 to Rwanda and the horrors of a horrifying genocide which unbelievingly enough, took place in the midst of the twentieth century.

However ,

"Left to tell" goes beyond the horrors of a miserable, unjustified war. It tells the story of 6 women who hid themselves in a tiny, small… Continue
