Medicine Wheel Ceremony & Flag Offerings for the West Direction

The Medicine Wheel I go to is located in Stoney Park, 30-45 minutes outside of Calgary, Alberta... It was laid out in 1987 under the instruction of Albert Lightening, a respected Elder from Hobbema, Alberta. My husband helped make the Medicine Wheel... We had just been married the day before in a traditiional wedding ceremony... Druid Prayer for Spring Equinox

Spring equinox is celebrated by druids every where, so Earth Children have put this event together for people to join in as if at a druid ceremony. First off, once in a circle at a druid ceremony they call the Quarters. This is where the druid taking the ceremony calls the directions one at a time, is there peace in the north, the repose is yes there is peace in the north……. This carries on till all four directions are called, this is included this in the following prayer.

I read somewhere that when you perform a Random Act of Kindness you release seratonin (the hormone that tells us that all is well in the world) in the brain..... And the people that you are giving Ramdom Acts of Kindness feel good...... And, people seeing the Ramdon Acts of Kindness also get the same effect.... So, I have started noticing Random Acts of Kindness and how many people one Random Act of Kindness would benefit..

8000 Drums Ceremony - June 21, 2009 (Sunday)

Please join the 8,000 Drums Ceremony. Inviting people, agencies and organizations to gather at 12:00 noon June 21, 2009 to drum and sing a prayer song for the Earth. Prayer Meditation with Tibetan Monks

Circle Hug in Tuscon Arizona

My best friend reminded me of the time we did a circle hug in Tuscon, Arizona.. She said she uses it as a teaching to people in workshops, in sharing circles..



After a four day conference, about seven of us had become quiet close.. we headed to Bear Canyon for a walk to the Seven Sacred Falls.. Habitat for Humanity - Day 3 (Jan 31/09)

Today, I helped work on a house that was almost ready for floor covering, so this was good.. seeing a house that is almost ready for finishing.. Started at 8:45 a.m. after the Habitat Safety meeting with the Construction Manager where we reviewed the safety risk assessment and were told the jobs that needed to be done that day.. Habitat for Humanity - Day 2 (Jan 24/09)

Okay, so I didn’t pound any nails today either… After the Safety meeting with the construction manager who also gave us the jobs for the day, we were split into three teams… I was in the only painting crew and painted with a roller brush using an extender pole to get at the lofty walls up the stairs into the living room area.. started painting at 9:00 am and finished at 3:30 p.m. .. painted the den, bathroom, main hallway into the entrance of the house (duplex) and the stairwells… painted the… Continue

Habitat for Humanity - Day 1 (Jan 17/09)

The Habitat for Humanity site overlooks the deerfoot off 16th Avenue NE.. there is a row of 4 duplex houses (8 houses in all), each painted differently on the outside. Each of the houses have been funded for materials by different businesses..
