The veritable beauty of a (wo)man.....

My Soul-Aphorisms 2009:

My own thoughts mixed with those of:

Audrey Hepburn / Henry David Thoreau / Ralph Waldo Emerson / Jack Elias

(aphorisms partly amended by me)

The veritable beauty of a (wo)man

is not reflected in the clothes (s)he wears,

the figure that (s)he carries,

or the way (s)he carries his/her hair and hat.

The beauty of a (wo)man is even not

in his/her cosmetic facial looks,

cos the true beauty in a… Continue

Instant Peace

Instant Peace

Many of us are like a walking windmill.

A tempest in the teacup of factitious beliefs,

know-it-all-behaviour and greedy attitudes,

standing on our own precious ego-pedestal.

Yet deep within we all are born as a calm lighthouse

and if we just radiated our innate state of true BEing,

others would sense our essence, i.e. the original and

eternal state of us being humble, peaceful and loving.

Yet we misuse… Continue

100,000 active ipeace members for iPeace's 1st birthday - join the rallye!

My dear friends,

There have been peace rallyes all over the world for decades, but so far all of them had been locally restricted to a certain geographical region and / or for a specific ethnical or religious issue in question....

But what is the name of the most popular and unique GLOBAL peace rallye in the world with 1.000.000 members in only 5 years?

Here is the "Who-wants-to-be-a-Millionaire?" final question... ;-))

A: Peace 4 U(s)

B: Candles 4… Continue

Carpe Diem

Today I will delete from my diary

two days: yesterday and tomorrow

Yesterday was to learn

and tomorrow will be the consequence

of what I can do today.

Today I will face life

with the conviction that this day

will not ever return.

Today is the last oportunity

I have to live intensely,

as no one can assure me

that I will see tomorrow's sunrise.

Today I will be brave enough

not to let any oportunity pass me… Continue

COURAGE: Are you Tom or Jerry?

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's COURAGE."

~ Anais Nin

Hence, go for your:

Courage to LOVE and

Courage to be loved,

Courage to laugh,

Courage to cry,

courage to be vulnerable,

Courage to be kissed

Courage to be embraced,

Courage to be caressed,

Courage to step out of your own shade,

Courage to leave your past behind,

Courage…

“Inner Peace – step by step?” (Part III)

Now, how to get to our innate core, our divine essence of our pristine being in order to find inner peace?

First, we need to come to a rest, to a change of perspectives: away from the predominant external societal "THEY-expect-me-to-act-so-and-so"-view…..

Let’s start with rising self-approval. Instead of expecting or even being depending on the approval of others. Stop being a workaholic in ticking off all those to-do-lists, physically or mentally. Stop being a… Continue

“Inner Peace – How to?” (Part II)

"No, no, you're not thinking; you're just being logical."

~ Niels Bohr

"When we are children, we are more open to our feelings and rely on them to make decisions. As we grow and are educated, we are taught how to think logically and our reliance on our feelings diminishes. A truly wise person has learned to balance the intuitive understanding of his heart with the rational knowledge of his head. It is through this twinned approach that flashes of inspiration can be manifested… Continue

Inner Peace – What for?” (Part I)

"Violence often prevails in conflicts because it is a much easier path than Peace. Violence does not usually start on its own: it grows from the fertile ground of intolerance, bigotry, self-centeredness - the baser areas of the personality. To practice Peace requires a rigorous evaluation of yourself and the acknowledgment of your own flaws and limitations, so that you can change the path you are on. This is the first step on the Path of Peace.

Together we all are humanity,

Humanity… Continue

SELF – A.WAR.ENESS

A silent prayer

and

a global wish:

More "wars", but only within our own HEARTS

W.A.R.s

of W.isdom,

of A.ttentiveness

of R.espect.

Against prejudice,

against humiliation,

against debasement

against emotional blinkers.

Inmost WARs in our souls!

For a true 360 degree perspective

showing us the GRAND PICTURE,

the prosperous landscape of… Continue

iPod and iPhone as subsitutes for iMind and iPeace?

iPeace as a sustainable "Global Movement"?

Yes, it is indeed a very thoughtful mission in those modern times of proliferating "quick-and-greedy" solutions around the globe, where our actually highly developed sagacity and (emotional) intelligence got so badly distracted and our self-reflection even blindfolded bit by bit by all those oh-so "well-off"-promising symbols and signs of status, affluence and prestige....

....the same time leaving the poor to their own… Continue

FREE HUGS for PEACE

Enjoy the Video below

This song is for you and your friends.....

For more compassion, more hugs, more peace....

In our hearts and in the world.....

(If) she (your friend's soul) just walks away from you

Hope you haven't heard

Does the sign say: "No Go Area"

or: "Please Do Not Disturb"

There's no ring of your bell

there's no voice in the phone

Why she's thinking you're better off alone?

Words just seem to pass… Continue

Poem: The Rich And The Poor

A close friend of mine is musical Ambassador to World Vision and just visitied a large regional development project in Ethiopia.

Although the people living there are extremely poor and have to live from only 1 $ per day(!), he has experienced "very proud, beautiful, joyous and precious personalities" the same time......

Hence, Idedicated this poem to all those on this planet who still celebrate warm unadulterated humanity despite all life-threatening odds… Continue

LOVE & PEACE lyrics

My following "You and Me" lyrics (published on iPeace) are about being divinely complete yet being torn from birth on in this "bipolar" world and about one's innermost quest (and often fight) for mutual peace.ful love (in general) in overcoming one's own socialized (!) egocentrisms (i.e. the "me, myself and I") in this world...

The "You and Me" is up to the audience's interpretation - it can be about the forming of a close soul-partnership, about de.veloping my Self…

How can we better the world for our kids?

Aren't many of us parents covertly asking ourselves sometimes:

"What is this just for an obviously adverse, artificial and injust world we are begetting our kids into??"

But the question is not what life or other people can do for us, but what we can do for them, especially for our kids.....??!!

Well, in a nutshell, let us treat them as what they really are and as to what they earn: as devine unspoiled essences, as souls on earth, as upgrowing virtuous angels who… Continue

Gobal FAIRness

Growing global connectivity along with ever-rising (informational as well as emotional) complexity and very disputable (spritutal and ethical) “sustainability” promptly call for an increased educational consciousness of FAIRness world wide:

F = Focus on compassion and wisdom

A = Awareness and Attentiveness

I = Insight, Intuition and (sagacious) Intelligence

R = Respect and… Continue

True Peace via Generation Z ?

"While the baby boomers had a placid childhood in the 1950s, today's twenty-something generation [X] grew up in a time of drugs, divorce and economic strain. . .They feel influenced and changed by the social problems they see as their inheritance: racial strife, homelessness, fractured families and federal deficits...." (Time Magazin 1990; nowadays even more applicable).

Thus, to me it is the most wise, provident and precious mission to educate our kids (the neXt generation "Z", Z… Continue

The inner light

Dangling sails in doldrums,

gently rocking in a dry lull,

full of dead silence & vasteness,

no shore, no lighthouse in sight?

A nutshell in fragile suspense,

afloat on a sea of emptiness,

in the blue-turquoise sereneness

of an immersed sunny paradise....?

Opalescent reefs glut with sand,

rainbow-multi-couloured seafood,

afloat with bellies sunny side up

WISDOM through Man's search for MEANING

Dear friends,

referring to the global wisdom concept I delineated in my other respective blog below, I personally would like to enrich the iPeace endeavor also with the psychological perspective of "Logotherapy" wich specifically caters to the MEANING of our individual lifes.

This scientific approach has been devised by Prof. Viktor E. Frankl, being one of the world's leading psychiatrists last century (next to Freud and Adler)

Frankl… Continue

Global Wisdom

Dear friends,

to my understanding iPeace marks a clear shift from the rather status- and narrow-minded "Me-Myself-and-I !" attitude (mainly used for informational "spin-slugfests") towards a mutually shared global "WE-Myself-and-WHY(not?) "perception instead, with a clear focus on WISDOM...

iPeace stands for me as my and everybody's loving "I.nmost P.ersonal E.ndeavor for A.uthenticity, C.ontenance and… Continue
