Greetings everyone! I am so happy to be, at last amongst peaceful people. You see, I live in Cleveland, Ohio is the poorest neighborhood where gangland warfare, political corruption and abominable "killer drivers" abound. There is very little peace here unless you find it inside.
I am a simple person. I am 56 and married to a physically and mentally disabled man - for 15 years. I knew about his problems when I met him and his prognosis was 3 years when we met. We are 12 years past the know-nothing doctors prognosis and counting. I am a green, independence, activist, music addict, gardening, voracious reader and lover of strange humor. You may see that over time. I was a Viet Nam war protestor and have protested every war since. I don't think that there can be a just war.
I am an atheist or naturalist - I think life is big enough to hold all and if there is an original source, it is not remotely human and would not conern with the tiny details like prayer suggests. I DO, however, believe that thoughts are things and that we can create with our own minds. We can create with our deeds and our words. We can create with love.
I hope that together all these possibilities will expand.
My Lakotah ancestors said (and they still say) Mitakuye Oyasin - We are all related. We are One.
I'd just like to see freedom, justice, compassion and charity come back into the forefront of the world. We could all really use some of that!
