25 Things abour me

1. I am 78 years old.

2. live in California

3. was born in Phoenix, Arizona

4. from Pima (Tohono'Akimel) Native American Tribe and Mexican Spanish

5. have one son and two step-sons and love them all (my wife claims she had them all!)

6. have two grandsons in their teens

7. am a believer in the basic goodness of the human race. (there are a few who are evil but most are good)

8. i know and believe in the All-Highest and Most Exalted Reality, Who is above names or description.

9. lived in Haifa, Israel for over ten years. Israel is my spiritual home.

10. Worked with Israelis, Jewish, secular, Arab Christian and Moslem, and left behind many friends, the men and women who work with me in the Baha'i Gardens in Haifa on Mt. Carmel.

11. love nature and want all children to experience it. So lets not let others destroy it.

12. am dedicated in my seach for the lovers of peace. It is easy to kill for peace. It takes special courage to live for it. (All who have killed and those they killed have from the beginning of time failed to make peace.)

13. am looking for the day when we treat women with the respect that is their right and that if there is not enought money to educate all our children that the girls be educated first...they will be the mother of the next generation.

14. love music. Classical, Pop, Blues and Native American traditional.

15. my favorite pass time is gardening. my garden is all natural with native plants.

16. When i was in Israel my favorite place was the Arava with its mountains and native plants.

17. come from a large family, 8 brothers and sisters.

18. i grew up in the Indian Village of Guadalupe outside of Phoenix. It is a Yaqui community.

19. i know many medicinal plants from my childhood, maybe that is why i love nature.

20. i speak English and Spanish fluently, Can speak Hebrew well enough to survive in Israel.

21. voted for Barrack Obama, it is time we finish the nasty business of injustice that begin 300 year ago.

22. I love my country, United States, two of my grandparents are Native Americans, two Spanish; this is my land.

23. i live in a mountain valley 4000 ft elevation. The city is not for human beings. It destroys your humanity

24 i have four close Friends, Mimi, Pixie, Ms Kitty and Kiki, my cats. Kiki is my pal and we spend a lot of time together.

25. i don't enjoy speaking about my self so 25 things was a test for me. But I love reading 25 from my friends.

So dense is darkness with which we surround ourselves that we become unable to see the Light of Divine guidance. How many Holy Manifestations of the Father must be crucified before His creature bow down in submissioni to His Holy Will? I am 66, and like you I have experienced many things. I was born during the time of Jim Crow in the south and witnessed the turmoil of the 60's. Even in San Francisco, where my family relocated to when I was a teen, was involved in crisis of civil rights violations. I remember the Viet Nam war, the Jim Jones massacre, and more than enough assasinations and senseless killings than I care to think about. Even in the midst of all the awful trauma man has inflicted on each other, I also seen miracles enough to believe in a loving God who is able to give us peace of mind and joy in our spirits despite what we have witnessed. You have been truly blessed, and so have I, with our families, children, friends, and loved ones. Those are the people we should dwell on and enjoy. We did not create the terrible things which have happened, we are only witnesses and sometimes victims of their reality. However, if we are able to embrace the good, it will always diminish the bad. Having you and others on this site reassures me that there is goodness, peace and justice among us...we need only look beyond our own pain to find it. Take care and God bless. Paris
