Most people are in fact tollerant of things that do not matter. They accept decisions made by the powers that be even if it requires a compromise of their personal code of ethics. Their excuses range from 'its the law', 'its compulsory' 'it is part of the contract' 'there is no alternative' etc etc yada yada yada. They have a profound ability to afford acceptance and exercise tollerence to these issues in life, even if they grumble and moan about it.
However enter a second person and what do you know, it all disappears. Oh no! Christians have to criticize others faith citing it as wrong, other faiths chatize the Christians and cite them as wrong. Different classes of people have to pass judgement over others in order to establish their rightful stratosphere. Countries interfere in other countries business, trying to remove the splinter from their eye whilst looking through the log in their own. Where does this normal level of acceptance and tollerance dissipate?
