There is one more chance left to stop the construction of the new Dal Molin military Base, 1.5 kms away from the throbbing heart of a town belonging to UNESCO Heritage Sites.

Manifestazione contro l'ampliamento della base militare USA di Vicenza a San Paolo del Brasile.

La manifestazione contro l'ampliamento della base militare USA di Vicenza,

prevista per il prossimo 17 febbraio, viene anticipata a San Paolo del Brasile questo

pomeriggio davanti al consolato italiano.

PER DIRE NO ALL'ALLARGAMENTO DELLA BASE MILITARE USA A VICENZA

Esistono attualmente 113 basi militari USA in Italia e un'immensa quantità di ogive

nucleari.

Vista dall'alto, l'Italia è una vera e propria portaerei a servizio della guerra in Irak e

in Afghanistan. Lo Stato italiano copre il 41% dei costi di manutenzione di queste

basi, ossia, all'incirca 336 milioni di dollari all'anno. In Europa ci sono 64.000 soldati

nordamericani

PER LA PACE E CONTRO LA GUERRA

Sta manifestando da settimane per impedire la costruzione di nuovi edifici nella

base nordamericana di Vicenza, città fondata nove secoli avanti Cristo e che si

trova tra Milano e Venezia. Queste opere di ampliamento hanno come finalità

l'accoglienza di nuovi contingenti di soldati destinati alla guerra in Irak .

Da sessant'anni l'Italia è invasa da basi statunitensi. Quando sembrava possibile

restituire pezzi di território alla popolazione italiana il governo americano, con la

sorprendente complicità del nuovo governo italiano, agisce ancora una volta con

prepotenza.

Ma gli abitanti di Vicenza hanno deciso di mobilitarsi contro la militarizzazione del

loro territorio e realizzeranno il prossimo
