From Anita, a 12 year old yellow lab discussing when you feel scattered or unsettled with life ...
Don’t forget the simple things. Everything will happen in its own time and place. Don’t rush, stay simple. Don’t forget your routines. Do one thing the same everyday. The same time, the same thing. That will help you get centered and grounded and feel as though you have control over at least one thing in your life.

~ From Stafford, a horse that died ...

Please don’t think of passing as a sad thing for it is not. It is only change from one reality to the next. We are fine with it. It is only humans who hold on so tight. Lighten up. Let go a little. Don’t be so afraid or sad for us that choose to go on. It is quite wonderful really. Send love and joy. We can feel all of it. Love and joy are so much nicer than sadness. You are very powerful, each of you. If you send love and joy, it magnifies greater, faster and more than sadness. We know you must have sadness at times, but use the love to transform.

~From Ingrid, a greyhound discussing the breath ...

Remember to always breathe and you will stay connected. No shallow breaths. Breathe deeply about everything. If you take a breath, a conscious breath, it will allow you the time to connect, to connect with all that is and take your next steps. Breathe and you will know.

~From Kismet, a cat discussing biting and licking ...
Licking is where I taste. That’s a big thing for cats. That’s how we really understand something. We sense it with our tongue. Yes, it is affection, but much of the time we are trying to sense the truth of something so we do it with our mouths. Our other senses aren’t as good as our taste. So we touch a lot. That’s what I do. I love it.

~ From Carmen, a ten year old dalmatian discussing death ...

When it is our time to go we just move on. That’s how it is for us. No big deal. People make it a big deal. It’s not really. It’s a fact of life. Just another phase, just another piece of the puzzle. One stops, the next begins and all together it makes the whole picture of our life.

~ From Sydney, a 10 year old golden that died ...

Are you coming back soon? Brenda asked. “No, I’m not. I’m taking a break from physical form for a bit.” Oh, okay, what will you do? “It’s hard to explain. We don’t do anything here. We just are and that is enough. You humans are all hung up on doing. You shouldn’t be. Just be and everything takes care of itself.”
