It's not easy to feel confident about your writing. Even the most seasoned writers do feel that their writing is horrible from time to time. Nobody's perfect, and you have to accept that. Even in writing, while you like some write up or literary material, there's another person out there who's sure to hate it as much as you love it. So it's different strokes for a lot of different folks regarding on what they think is good or bad writing.

What matters is not so much whether a writing sounds horrible, but how you pick yourself up from a bad case of not being a confident writer. The first rule is to feel confident about yourself and your own paper writing, plus, don't worry so much while writing. Just write and write, because no one really turns in their first draft. A lot of written works undergo rehashing, adding, and omitting of words and sentences before it can be called the finished product.

Of course, you can get so easily affected if some other person doesn't like your work and treats it like trash. Most writers do experience this kind of rejection, and what do you do if it's you who's in the rejected writer's shoes?

1. Be objective. Think carefully about the comments left on your work. Maybe you really need to work on it and polish it further. Take some consideration of the key points for improvement and work on it.

2. Allow yourself to feel the pain of rejection. Then cope with it and move on. Keep writing.

3. Did I said "keep writing"? It does get better when you're at it longer and not letting rejection defeat you.

Writing is subjective and depends on what a person thinks about it. It's your own job to make yourself confident of your own work and keep on improving.
