I would never send my son to war
A war that’s not worth fighting for
Someone else’s battle cry
Won’t take the apple of my eye
Who knows whose hand stirred up this mess
To dig into their spoils no less
Cause all this bloodshed and the pain
For no good reason once again
Stamp it in the name of God
Send sons of men to lie in sod
Running blood red in screams of doom
Meeting their maker all too soon
As their Mothers look above
Praying for a drop of love
To pour down from heaven’s sky
Drop to their knees and pray they try
But nothing comes from their fair lips
They scratch the ground with fingertips
Beat their breasts for sons they bore
Why were they sent dear God what for
For the masters of the Earth
To plan their doom since day of birth
Have we then risen up our sons
To march forth with lifted guns
We cry we weep for days of peace
When tears don’t come for sweet release
When sons of earth will then join hands
Unite the brotherhood of man
And then the day of infamy
Will be a faded memory
The so-called valiant days of war
Will lose their meaning forevermore…
