END OF THE WORLD

Imagine....a leaflet, dropped out of planes all over the world with the writing "End of the World in 24 Hours: Do What Means the Most to You".

Would all violent people continue doing their violent acts OR ...... would those same people, same groups who had been accustomed to only violence, finally make their last phonecalls to say that they loved people or appreciated someone in their life; would they finally take their last look at the sky, listen to music, make music or dance or express only love and peace?

Would it be possible that if we knew there would be a very last day, that one would spend the remaining hours in violent actions? Or would the news warning of the END OF THE WORLD be what is necessary to make even the most violent people immediately change their ways and live their last 24 hours not in actions of violence but in actions of love?

Mine was more idealistic thinking perhaps that in THAT occasion the bad might be overrun by the good in everyone.
But those must be very old fashioned thoughts...because nowadays people blow themselves up, it is a normal way of leaving for good.
Yes, you are right.....I guess I was ideally just thinking that PERHAPS...that one last time....they might just change. How depressing, but you are right.
How totally sad.

makes you think people will change in 48 hours?? People are born with a "genitic
pattern" (or code) which makes them what they are! Bigots, racists; etc. - they
won't change... That is why Pedofiles are a natural terror when they move into
"your" neighbourhood. That's because they are born to "do what they do"! Most of
them end up being shoot by a neighbourhood "Watch Team"! When 9/11 happened alot of people took their cell phones and called loved ones - this was the plane heading for Washington - "The White House" - instead a bunch of guys in a state of shear panic 'over powered' the pilot and they crashed in a field far from the White house! These men were heros!!! Everyone on board died. But the White House was saved!! In WWII - they used that tactic - dumping millions of flyers from planes - saying basically the same thing. Major panic took over causing the worst chaos you can ever imagine. So, Stephanie, people panic when
their 'normal' (what ever that is) - lives are disrupted. I understand what you were aiming for. But it just wouldn't happen that way. Try studying WWI and WWII and what is happening in the Congo in Africa - and you will see for yourself that "What is happening in Afganistan and The Gaza Strip is just plain foolishness. definitely, the way we see things and interpretate them are very very different in this world. You saw my blog one way, and I had meant it more in a different way.
Tell me if this is any better: If everyone knew that they had one more day to live, would even the most violent people in the world continue doing aggressive actions or would they finally turn to the ones they love and forget violence in order to say thank you, or I love you? Tell me, really, my message above could not be interpretared in this way? This is how I had meant it.

with that opinion! Life is short enough as it is without talking about the end
of the world. What are you thinking???? I have a friend who has just been dignoised with lung cancer and the MRI found a tumor in her brain. She is 43 and
a mother of 4 kids. They are in there teens, but under the age where they can be left alone. They will probably end up with Social Services (all but one - a
girl that is over 18)!!!! What if this "WERE YOU"???? Would you still be talking about "THE END OF THE WORLD". Hope is in the Bible! And "Hope" is all we
have. You don't even mention all the innocent children being killed by bombings
and what 'Hope' do they have. The 'key' words in your blog are 'violence' and
'world'!! Not one word of PEACE... Love is NOT Peace. Love can mean alot of
things: I love my cat! I love my Bunny! I love my Mom! All in different context
to the violence of The War. Thank you!!
