FIERCE LIGHT WORKSHOP IN TORONTO - SATURDAY AUG 22

SHINE YOUR FIERCE LIGHT

Unleash the power of spirit in action

A workshop with Velcrow Ripper

This fierce workshop with spiritual activist, and award winning filmmaker Velcrow Ripper explores the power that is released when spirituality is combined with action, tapping into what Gandhi called "Soul Force", what Ripper calls, "Fierce Light." It is the power of the spiritual warrior - heart centered and fierce at the same time.

Featuring dynamic "engaged spirituality" practices and meditations, visualizations and exercises, the workshop will offer key tools to unleash your own "Fierce Light" and take action from a spiritual perspective.

Learn how to integrate the head and the heart, "doing" and "being," compassion and action, in order to be of the highest service both to yourself, and the world around you. Join thousands of spiritual warriors around the world, and become part of "The Great Turning", helping to make the shift from the industrial growth society, to the life sustaining civilization. A holistic journey of integration, from the personal, to the global, from the inner to the outer and back again. Discover your own Fierce Light, and let it loose on the world.

"I've been a spiritual seeker my whole life, but I've had a tendency to think of spirituality as something out there, or up there. But now I'm realizing more and more that spirituality is down here on earth, in every interaction, in the way we move through this life we have, this one precious life. It's not about something later on, or someplace else. It's right here in this moment, in every breath, in every heart beat." ~ Velcrow Ripper

Featuring “full spectrum” spirituality, inspired by such teachers as deep ecologist Joanna Macy, integral theorist Ken Wilber, pagan activist Starhawk, Tibetan Buddhist Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Zen spiritual activists, Roshi Enkyo O’Hara, Joan Halifax and Thich Nhat Hahn.

In this workshop you will:
~ expand your sense of self from the Ego Centric to the World Centric and Kosmocentric view.
~ learn to transform conflict through “love in action”.
~ explore the integration of mind, body, spirit and shadow.
~ transform your relationship to this era of crisis into a time of tremendous opportunity and soul growth, while avoiding overwhelm and burn out.
~ deepen your sense of interconnection with humanity and the planet.
~ develop a concrete action plan to manifest your own “Fierce Dream”

Practices include: two person, four person and group exercises, discussions, meditations, guided visualizations, and short video screenings tailored to the workshop. These short films by Velcrow Ripper feature original interviews not seen in Fierce Light, with such visionaries as Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu, Thich Nhat Hahn, Matthew Fox, Starhawk, and Joanna Macy.

“Thank you from my heart for a wonderfully engaging, thought provoking and spiritually uplifting workshop. Your words echo my own and its so beautiful to meet other like minded people. I am very grateful for your love and kindness and very much believe this is how we are going to see the world turn around-through these kinds of happenings all over the globe”.

It was under the influence of the Mahatma that the Indians themselves raised from out the dust, dared for the first time to stand erect and look straight an Englishman in the face. When, after years of teaching and of discipline, thus he lifted up the people from debasement and subjection, and had taught to them the dignity and honor of their own manhood, he knew that his fight was won. For once self-respect was achieved within the masses, their power was of course supreme. without use violence----Gandhi enlighten your path ---Nãmaste
