I'm from the womb of a Mother
I am your sister; you're my brother
Though you walk so far from me
The same hand shapes our destiny
We will meet there in the sky
Join hands together, you and I
Our eyes will open and see how
The time we've wasted here and now
Was a fleeting misconception
Of a denied soul connection
We both are black here in the dark
Our blood runs red and leaves a mark
When we are cut, we feel the pain
Our Mothers cry and feel disdain
At the injustice of it all
As the world gets, oh, so small
And tightens up its angry grip
In bitterness, it makes a slip
To play the game of little boys
Having fun with great big toys
And all the soldiers, they fell down
In little pieces to the ground
Once again, nobody wins
Such an awful mess they're in
Now it's, oh, so very late
To make amends; negotiate
The anger burns within their heart
And Mother Earth is torn apart
All her children cry in pain
She, herself, cries with the rain . . .
