One of the best, if not the best, sites of alternative media I have ever seen:
Gaza Sderot: Life in Spite of Everything
In days like this, that project expresses exactly the type of attitude that needs to prevail - a wide view of many people from both sides of the border, who are suffering, and how their daily lives are. It does not point fingers at one or the other, just tells their stories like it is. Amazing, and - what makes it such a good media source - an honest reflection of the truth.
Such a shame the project just ended prior to the war.

Two more thoughts. This morning rockets were fired without warning from south Lebanon into Northern Israel, injuring two people at the town of Nahariya. In light of the debates regarding who started it (who broke the cease fire first) in the south, would anyone maintain that Israel did not break its cease fire with Lebanon (Hizballah?) first, but that Lebanon (Hizballah) did? At the moment more rockets are being fired in the north (in addition to those in the south of Israel). Does this not constitute a cease fire breach, on Lebanon (Hizballah)'s behalf? I seriously hope the war does not escalate now to the north as well, but I am wondering, would you not consider this a blatant attack on Israeli sovereignity and cease fire breach, and what's Israel to do? is Israel to blame for a potential inflamation up north?
My second thought, regarding yesterday's blog post I forwarded here, about the comparison between Gaza and Auschwitz. As all the bleeding hearts maintain that negotiations are the only way to deal with Hamas, the holocaust talk raised a question in my head. Do you think that it would have been better to avoid the bloodshed of World War II, all the civilian and military casualties in Germany and other countries, and instead negotiate with Hitler? do you think there was any other way to neutralize him other than force?
