I went through a fairly serious illness recently and lots of friends were praying about the outcome. Everything went well and I seem to have made a good recovery. But the point I need to make is that for the prayers to be effective it was essential to have a good surgeon at the "cutting edge".
In the same way, praying for the healing of a sick world needs to be followed up by appropriate inspired action.
God's Kingdom (and it will not be an exclusively Christian, Buddhist, Islamic, Judaic, or whatever, Kingdom) can not manifest without human beings doing the right practical building work.
I have been unable, so far, to formulate a positive characterisation of the Kingdom (also known as the possible good world in non-religious circles). Any help would be appreciated with that.
For the time being I see The Kingdom on Earth as
the world with no wars, no poverty, no oppression, no exploitation, no avoidable suffering.
Ushering in this world implies intensely practical expressions of love. However, if we do that work together backed by prayer groups, miracles can speed up and ease the work of transformation.
An example of what I mean by “intensely practical expressions of love” I offer for consideration an aspect of love which is (directly relating to homelessness and poverty),
“…Not taking as private property the value of part of the earth (land, for example), which is generated by the need of other people to have a living space.”
My experience is that most people do not know what I am talking about when broaching these kinds of things. So I will finish this entry with a web address as one of the gates through which the details of that particular aspect of love can be visited:
