My iPeace Day

I case you were wondering how I am spending iPeace Day. I will drive now to Beer Sheva, my home town, to pick up my parents and bring them over to my house. My father is 87 and has difficulty walking, my mother is 78. There is just no possible way for them to get to a safe place in the 45 seconds which take a missle to get from Gaza to their house.

Since early this morning 5 Grad missiles fired by Hamas from Gaza hit my home town. One of them hit a class room at my high school (picture on top). Luckily school day was canceled because of the missiles and no one was hurt.

I was hoping for a happier iPeace Day for myself and for all of iPeace Palestinian members. maybe next year.

I refuse to lose hope. We need to find a way to talk to our Palestinian cousins. War will never be the solution.

How fortunate we are to live in the USA. Yes we have our problems, but they pale next to the distruction and deaths that occur in your country on a daily basis. Mother's are afraid to send their children to school because they may not return home. Children pray that they have a home to return to when the learning day is done.

We have been told that when we ask for something we will receive it. Sometimes our wishes take longer than we had hoped. There is a plan for all that occurs in our world. This plan moves in a timely fashion until each and every detail is complete. The peace we all are longing for is in the process. It is making its way around the world and resinates like the soft beating of a drum. The drum is the heartbeat of the people reaching out in prayer, thought and deed to make peace a reality for each and every one of us. .

Let us become one at heart and fulfill our desire for Peace on Earth. One day we will see that our efforts were not in vain. We will look to our brother and sisters, no matter where they are, and know that we have found our peace at last. We will rejoice in it's harmony and be glad in it.
