Dearly Beloveds...
Greetings from Santa Barbara California USA, Planet Earth....
It's late afternoon here now, the sun is just going down over the mountain, the sky is a soft blue with fine fingers of white clouds...
Today has been another very creative day. There is a kind of power flowing, something is pushing its way through. I keep coming back to this iPeace site, and all the lovely attractions here. Maybe it's that song, Imagine -- is it being sung in Yiddish? I am just guessing...
You can say I am a dreamer -- but I am not the only one. I am so glad to be in the company of all these lovely dreamers...

So, ok, I have some ideas....
I thought maybe I would put some stuff here. I want to put these ideas down in writing, and I want to say these things here, to these dreamers -- to you guys, whoever you are, wherever you are -- all these beautiful girls and wise women and strong men, all these people with heart, all these people feeling the throb, feeling the pulse.
I've been doing these internet projects for a long time. I've had these kinds of visions for a long time. But here everything is new, and there is so much to learn, so much to discover, so many new things. This iPeace is an exciting place. I am learning from it. It's fun, it's inspiring.
Maybe what I am thinking is -- maybe something really exciting could emerge. Of course -- love and connectivity is always exciting. It's exciting to connect with somebody 10,000 miles away, somebody with a heart full of love and caring, somebody I can touch, and who can touch me...
What I am thinking is -- there has to be a powerful way forward.
We know so much. There is so much out there today. So much knowledge, so much insight, so much technical capacity. And there -- is such a wide range of wisdom. Maybe the spirit isn't really all that mysterious now -- at least in some ways. Maybe we can figure out a way -- to "come together" -- even through we are very different -- and the energies can be intense...
This man -- David Califa -- who made this web-place. I watched a video of him yesterday, of him being interviewed on (I guess) Israeli television. That was fun. The interviewers were energetic, they challenged him hard. David smiles, he comes back strong. He can speak out of the spirit. He knows something....
I thought it was interesting that David is in Israel. That's a place -- that can use some new energies for peace.
I've been thinking about how the internet might help do something for mid-east peace -- for a long time. I've got friends across various borders -- who might not like each other very much. And I've met some people from other sides of various borders -- who are totally in love with one another.
There were some Mideast women who came to Santa Barbara a year or two ago -- a group called "Beyond Words". Israeli women, Palestinian women. They were beautiful, they told funny stories, they told sad stories, they loved each other...
At first, I didn't understand the meaning of their name -- "Beyond Words". I thought perhaps it meant -- that they were able to communicate so deeply -- that they didn't need mere language to connect. But no, the beautiful lady explained the name. It means, she said -- that we have felt a pain -- that cannot be spoken. It is too powerful, it is too deep -- it is Beyond Words...
I have some ideas on some things that might happen. I think it would make sense to write some of those ideas here. I don't know if anybody will see what I write here -- but I think I will do it anyway. I'll write another post soon.

I read your kind and beautiful words, and I want tell you that I feel the same. I´m here in Brazil, conected with you, trying to make peace, altough it sounds like a difficult thing, I´m a dreamer too, doing my best...
You touched my heart with your words, and I want you continuing have many good times here, like me.

I too live in the small state of Israel...the mustache on the shores of the Mediterranean....as one of our popular songs describes it ...and I too have been dreaming and visualizing peace for longer than I wish to count. The news (when I watch it, often seems like re-runs... from the politicians empty statements, to the UN's even emptier swaggering and anti-semitism and inexplicable focus on "the plight of the Palestinian people"...as if no other group on Earth has suffered as much or received as much aid. Unfortunately the language and tools of war seem to be the only options at this moment and as much as I mourn every life that is lost in this latest barrage...and civilians were not targeted as far as I believe...it appears that our neighbours are only willing to trade in this currency.
There have been many groups formed over the past 20 years to create dialogue and understanding among peoples of all faiths...many, if not most, initiated in Israel and including ongoing medical life saving procedures in our hospitals.
Far from being an apartheid state, and while I don't deny the mistakes of past and present governments in the treatment of the Arabs among us, none can deny that Israel takes care of all it's citizens, to some degree, whether health care, education or leisure activities. Our hospitals and social services and shopping malls are a melange of colours and hues and a symphony of voices in English, Hebrew, French, Arabic, Russian, Turkish, Amharic and more....and each succeeding wave of immigrants adds their complaints to the expanding genre of satire on our TVs.
On the other hand...many, if not most Arab states, including our immediate neighbours to the south and East, would prefer that their land be Judenrein...totally...and people of other faiths in their midst have been persecuted relentlessly, while here our Supreme court defends the rights of all faiths to worship...except maybe our own Reform and Conservative Judaism...but this is another story altogether...and too many bend over backwards to correct any perceived bias in our own favour.
Until the Palestinian Authority and it's various enablers and media decides to focus it's energy and vast monetary donations to the building of it's infrastructure and services for it's people and create a society empowered to grow and develop as peaceful, caring individuals...and finally desists from constantly demonizing Israel for few real and often fabricated or projected malicious acts or slights...I see no desire or will to peace....and do not believe any of the pompous and empty statements that fill our newsmedia.
Our weather is clear so far today...but rainstorms have been predicted...I hope that mother nature will succeed in cooling down the hotheads until saner heads prevail.

I think I have been hanging out in the same portal you have. I wish I had your technical expertise as I had a new song come to me the day after Christmas. Since my solar power is limited on the sunniest of days and we have had some heavy rain, I am not progressing very fast in trying to crack the garageband code. But I am going to share the lyrics anyhow:

May we all maintain our integrity in the coming year. Numeralogically speaking it is an eleven year. Eleven is a master number, and since 10 is normally the measure of perfection be prepared to go beyond what you previously thought was possible.
In the posted picture of me, I am holding a selenite scepter. Selenite's purpose is to help us realize that reality takes the form we decide to give it. That's why I love iPeace. I know we are all on the same page.

Oh, Bruce, I'm so glad, that I read your 'Working Together' blog. You must have published it while I was writing my last comment to this blog here. There really was a misunderstanding on my side. And I'm so glad, that this IS a misunderstanding. By seeing your newly added photo showing the PORTAL TO UNITY picture I thought that is a very new creation, a very quickly done concretisation and realisation of your dream from the portal of unity. When I read 'The Global Resonance Network' I really thought you are going to create and open a new network. But this network is the GRN that was mentioned by two other members of it commenting here. Like other persons commenting here, I didn't know what this abbreviation means and I didn't remember this abbreviation when I saw this picture on your page. I'm sooo glad, Bruce, that you don't want to create another new network, that this interesting network is already existing. You are doing that, what I always hoped YOU with your power and your experience would do here. The Working Together - Dialog blog removed my misunderstanding and - really - my sorrow - you wouldn't use this unique and valuable place HERE for realizing your and our dreams. So much action. So much love and desire to bring peace here.
I googled the lightpages.net/portal/portal.cfm for portal to unity. Wow. Every minute I spend here I feel more hope for mankind. I've been developing a piece on the importance of personal spiritual growth using daily meditation. I'll post soon. Communication between like-minded individuals is very important, but individual development of spiritual growth, balance, and harmony brings a strength and direction to that communication. It gives the peace movement a foundation. Whether using yoga, prayer, meditation ritual, or some other personal method, it is necessary to maintain a balance between our physical, intellectual, and spiritual selves.
Thank you Bruce, for this posting. iPeace is riding a tidal wave. It's a timely phenomenon reflecting the macrocosmic fear of the direction mankind seems to be moving.

Dear Bruce, it's great, that you just wrote your ideas not knowing if anybody would see what you wrote... And now they are featured and published on the home page. The power of our dreams...
One of the questions that arose within me by reading your words and all the comments is already answered. The question was: What does a Portal to Unity practically / concretely means to you? To me, iPeace is already one Portal to Unity. Without the inner peace and the peace among different people unity is impossible. I didn't know, if you want to create something within iPeace or something beside iPeace. When I went to your page some minutes ago, I saw the new photo you added showing the picture of a NEW NETWORK: Portal to Unity: The Global Resonance Network.
For me, in contrary to you, these social networks are a totally new thing. In September, I for the first time followed the invitation to a social network: facebook. But it doesn't touch me at all. When I joined iPeace about one month ago, it was totally different. And during the first days, I got so many invitations to other networks and I joined four (one of them I left already). I think, every day is created a new one, ning makes it possible. I didn't think about it, I didn't plan this: but in my case, there is only one left that I concentrate on at the moment, and that's iPeace. And I'm expecting the acceptance of my applying for interspirit.net, because I'm very interested in the work of the education group (that one here doesn't really seem to be effective for me). What I like in iPeace is, that it is sooo colorful. This here is a very impressive mixture in so many dimensions. When you have a special portal dealing mainly with spiritual energies and themes, the contact to 'the ground zeros of our world' (Velcrow Ripper) and the contact to the ground and the 'element earth' in general might be not so close as if you unite people independent from their spiritual awareness. For making changes into the direction of peace and unity, we have to collect many people, as much as we can, also those who never thougt about the meaning of unity, but always had the deep and true wish to live in peace. I myself, I really have a deep longing for UNITY. But I can imagine a lot of people getting fear by hearing this word, thinking that they are expected to lose their own (whatever this is) for getting united in a form of unification. I know, that this is not at all the intention of you, you live and support the opposite. But the word UNITY in my eyes has not the same attraction as the word PEACE. Peace or no peace is what people directly notice, everybody knows, what peace or no peace means to him. Everybody has his own opinion to it, but everybody wants to have it.
The comment to your blog, that touches me at most, is the one of Sharon. He seems to sit in the center of a cyclon (between Gaza and Israel), still being able to love and being full of care for the ones on the other side, that side, from which he now has to expect really dangerous attacks. We all can send him some encouraging words or pictures.
