THE ESSENCE HOLIDAY SHOW - ep 87

It is winter equinox today. Berlin is covered in white snow and I am deeply relaxed.
As we come to the close of this year I would like to thank all the amazing artists here at the Essence and all of my loyal fans and dear friends for making this year a year to remember.

In 2010 I will be traveling more, I know already I will be giving concerts in Norway, Italy, USA and Germany. So if any of you are close by I would love to sing for you:)

Snowfall
The glee of children at the season's first
snow fuzzes over, quick as a branch
the flakes have piled on. We can remember something
of what we felt years ago, but the spirit
no longer leaps up. Now we take care
where we put our feet. We watch the amazing
streaming of the snow in the glare of street lamps,
but think what it will cost to have it shoveled.
Worse, I see what the young children don't
in a field, tracks of hunger stalking terror
to red flecks in the snow; or beyond, another
larger field where nothing at all has touched
that terrible white plane. Laughter rings
in the air as I look down, watching my step.
