This article clears up many rumors about Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson supported a lot of childrens' charities, so it's conceivable that he would pay the money to get the rumors from tainting the charities he supported, not that it did any good. People love to believe dirt. Here is a list of the charities that Michael Jackson supported from

  • AIDS Project L.A.
  • American Cancer Society
  • Angel Food
  • Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles
  • BMI Foundation, Inc.
  • Brotherhood Crusade
  • Brothman Burn Center
  • Camp Ronald McDonald
  • Childhelp U.S.A.
  • Children's Institute International
  • Cities and Schools Scholarship Fund
  • Community Youth Sports & Arts Foundation
  • Congressional Black Caucus (CBC)
  • Dakar Foundation
  • Dreamstreet Kids
  • Dreams Come True Charity
  • Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation
  • Juvenile Diabetes Foundation
  • Love Match
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation
  • Minority Aids Project
  • Motown Museum
  • National Rainbow Coalition
  • Rotary Club of Australia
  • Society of Singers
  • Starlight Foundation
  • The Carter Center's Atlanta Project
  • The Sickle Cell Research Foundation
  • Transafrica
  • United Negro College Fund (UNCF)
  • United Negro College Fund Ladder's of Hope
  • Volunteers of America
  • Watts Summer Festival
  • Wish Granting
  • YMCA - 28th Street/Crenshaw
Now, there are people out there who seem to truly hate humanitarians and humanitarian efforts. Take a look at these people, for instance:

Excerpt from article:

"[23 miles off the coast of Gaza, 15:30pm] - Today Israeli Occupation Forces attacked and boarded the Free Gaza Movement boat, the SPIRIT OF HUMANITY, abducting 21 human rights workers from 11 countries, including Noble laureate Mairead Maguire and former U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (see below for a complete list of passengers). The passengers and crew are being forcibly dragged toward Israel.

Here's one from 2006:

Swedish human rights worker viciously attacked by Jewish extremists in Hebron
Report, ISM Hebron, 21 November 2006

Here's an occurrance in Iran:

Security Forces Violently Attack and Detain Labor Rights Activists Observing May Day

Here's an occurance in 2007:

Human Rights Workers Attacked by Israeli Settlers

Michael Jackson also worked for peace

and people seem to hate peace workers as well:

Militants attack Pakistani peace workers; 8 dead

Israeli settlers attack children and peace workers (Ekklesia)

Israeli Attacks on International Peace Workers

Here is a link to a Google search for "peaceful protestors attacked."

Michael Jackson was a humanitarian and peace worker. Yes, he was eccentric, but much of what is believed about him is nothing more than rumor, some of which he initiated as jokes to make light of all the ignorant things people will believe are true just because someone said something about him.

If you really want to know the truth, don't believe lies and rumors. Search the facts. Don't just jump on a bandwagon because you heard someone spread some dirt or because it's the "popular thing to believe." Use your brains, people. THINK a little. Maybe it's time YOU looked at the person in the mirror. Remember... WE are the world.

Love, Hope, Peace, & Christ Is With Us All,

Most people don't realize how much good he did. All they do is listen to the ugly rumors.

Peace sister!

Very interesting blog post.

I didn't know what kind of charity Michael Jackson had put into. Quite a lot, it seems like.
Peace to you,
