The super expensive team in FIFA 16

You could say that about any player regardless of price. Take Doumbia for example, he is a relatively cheap player but there have been games where my opponent has scored multiple goals with him and got the win. It isn't "pay to win" because in the end you still have to play the game and be better than your opponent. I played a guy last night that had Ronaldo and Messi up top with sol Campbell, Hierro, and van der sar in the back. He quit before half time when I was winning 2-0. I also futscoped him (dramaonyoutube) and he was terrible. I find this to be the case more often than not. The dudes with teams worth tens of millions of cheap Fifa 16 coins are easy wins. It's when I play a team of silvers that I get nervous

Honestly, it has happened way too many times that I play some guy with a super expensive team, and I lose. The match facts will be something like 15 shots for me, while he has 2. Possession 60% vs 40%. One goal from an impossible angle with Messi or Ronaldo and I'm already fucked because they have top tier defenders that make impossible clearances... There is definitely a big element of pay to win here. Not saying it is decisive, but it's there.

Meaning in fact that you lose more often than last year and prefer to believe it's something wrong with the game and not plain simply that those people you call noobs in fact are better than you. I know it's an unpleasant thought, but let's face it: It's quite likely, isn't it?

It's not, I have a pretty good H2H record, better than on pretty much every Fifa bar 14. I quite enjoy and I'm quite good at this FIFA. But it can definitely be noted that there are more "undeserved" victories on this FIFA than past iterations, probably due to the whole "momentum" aspect plus the entertaining physics engine plus the laughable GKs I suppose.
Oh and I'm not saying it only happens to me. I also win undeservedly at times. And it can be observed much more when you play friendly seasons or play the same person multiple times.

Did you buy packs with coins or Fifa Points? Just playing devil's advocate, but if you used Fifa Points, then you are supporting his accusation that it is pay to win.

As someone who plays with Fifa 16 account, they're a waste of money. The team with players you know you can play well with and a formation you know how to read will win you a thousand times more games than a team you stack with Messi/Ronaldo/Robben's, etc.

If your goal is to build an expensive team, you can just buy it.
If you want to build a normal team and win, then no, you can't buy wins.
If you just want to build a team you like and enjoy using, regardless of the score, it doesn't matter. If someone spends $500 and builds a team they love using but isn't that good, who gives a fuck if they paid to win?
