Sure I don't have so many answers
and I'll never know it all that's true
but if you want I'll share what little I have
for sharing is what I know we all need to do

Add all our answers together
with all the questions we must ask
far too much for a solo my friends
joined hands must complete this task

Love and flowers ruled the sixties
that scheme was drowned by the flood
when drugs made so many minds weak
to commerce both bad and good

Cast your eyes around the planet
spot the problems that face one and all
none are unrelated to those so close by
poverty on the doorstep, burgers by the wall

Homeless wander streets in rags
as suits and silks lock more doors
seven hundred thousand empty houses
while families sleep on cold damp floors

But we know that would be luxury
for countless millions overseas
where food and water remains
harder to find than dread disease

Politics continues to feed itself
as more demise from paper delays
everyone aware it's so very wrong
we can surely find some better ways

Fill ships with grain and medications
take dispair from lands rich with needs
some tools and helping hands too
Now it's time to plant those seeds
