World peace - an elusive yet possible achievement.

The mind truly boggles - so many people sign up to peace projects, afford them their financial support and activist participation and yet we reside in a war ravaged war, that has pockets of society living in all manner of war. The war of man, the fight of poverty, hunger and greed, the ravaging battle to achieve and maintain good health.

Peace is a commodity, that reside and eminates from within. It is futile to expect that it will be achieved whilst the building are being erected on foundations lacking in the desired material. War in no way can invite peace. Indeed there are moments, little pockets of time where respite will be achieved from the daily grind and destruction of war. Only a fool uses the same recipe to achieve different outcomes. There is not enough moral fibre within mankind to stand strong within their convictions of heart in order to arrest and turn the tide of momentum. Change and revolution can begin with a single person, but who is willing to shoulder such a responsibility? Who is willing to address the foundations and treat the cause and not the symptoms of such a plight? It is easy to afford lip service to such noble cause, to earn oneself the title of activist for world peace however 90% of those of us proporting to belong to such groupings are little more than hypocrites. Within the spheres of our own arenas we continually war with circumstances of our own disquiet. It is far easier to care about the plight of others and set about making their lives better than to do the same for ourselves. However until we do so, the significance of our impact will be marginal at best and will be temporary.
