Very cool! I'm with you on all of it! We're all insane, but is that all bad? All the sitcoms are hilarious because they make the same mistakes over and over. It's just fun to laugh at because we're laughing at ourselves too. Like why would we want to continuously bang our heads? It's what actually connects us all. Very cool! I'm with you on all of it! We're all insane, but is that all bad? All the sitcoms are hilarious because they make the same mistakes over and over. It's just fun to laugh at because we're laughing at ourselves too. Like why would we want to continuously bang our heads? It's what actually connects us all. I could go through the endless process of trying to "improve" myself, but the only peace I can really get from all this is to accept everything as it is. It's the wanting to change or fix stuff that gets us all tense and anxious and self-critical. If we could just learn to let go of the process itself we could be at peace ("process" is the key word here, it implies logic without considering the human element). It's our expectations of peace that kills it most of the time. So now what? Be in the unknown, like you just said. Expectations destroy relationships anyway. Especially the one with yourself.
I get the creepies when I hear resolution because it's torture. It's like the ultimate judge inside your head running off a big To Do list, that you will undoubtedly disappoint. It's not laziness, it's focusing on being aware instead of judging (why is there a judge anyway??). Embrace the ying and the yang, then it won't be such a conflict anymore inside your head. And it's only in your head, that's all you can be sure of! :)
Thanks for the refreshing post! My resolution will be not to take myself so seriously LOL - really!
