Hi Kaycie
I read your message out loud about love, I don't think my cat understood it fully as she got a satisfied look and started to smoke!!
Lots of Love!
Ken xxx Hope your day is filled with smiles:)
Yes, I have read Eckhart Tolle, awhile ago, though I did not listen to the tapes you recommended. As I tend to do, I forgot a good part of his message, so I will seek out those tapes. I did see him on Oprah a couple of times and consider him to be a great teacher of our time. Indeed, as I write this in this moment, all is well, there is nothing to fear.
I actually don't practice meditation at the moment. I have tried and failed to start a regular practice at least half a dozen times. But it does not concern me, I believe I am exactly where I need to be. In the past, I literally tried to quit smoking cigarettes at least a dozen times over a period of years. Eventually, I was successful. In fact yesterday (Dec. 7) was my 8 year b-day of being tobacco free. I feel I will ultimately create a successful meditation practice too. In fact, I have just re-stumbled upon Paramhansa Yogananda's 'Autobiography of a Yogi'. I am considering becoming a member of his self-realization fellowship, where I believe I would be taught Kriya Yoga, a meditation practice you might be familiar with.
My Divine Light experience occurred sometime in 2003. It was an experience of Unity with Love that was beyond words. While reading 'Autobiography of a Yogi', I have learned that the great masters can manifest such an experience (or similar experiences) at will. Indeed there were/are many yogi-Christs throughout history. I would like to learn to revisit that experience, or something like it, at will myself. One big obstacle for me is discipline. Since I was a child, I avoided working (or doing anything that might make me stand out, in either a 'good' or 'bad' light. In order to grow, I must learn discipline, so that is my challenge for now. I just read a bit in A Course In Miracles that reminded me that only when I acknowledge that I know nothing that I will have peace. It's when I start to believe I know a thing or two, I start to suffer from fear. So I'm happy to report that I still know nothing. :)
Thanks for sharing your experience and strength, Kaycie. You bring a lot of Light into the world.
Dear Kaycie, thanks for adding me as one of your iPeace friends and for your heartfelt support and blog. Today i’ll meet Ven. Palden Gyatso again. This Tibetan monk has suffered and survived, what he calls, the 18th layer of the Chinese hell. For 33 years he has been imprisoned, humiliated and tortured. After reading his Human Document, an “amazing” story of human suffering and spiritual perseverance: ‘Fire under the snow’. In 2001 we have walked the march of the Tiger, a 49 days journey over the peaks of the Alps from Nice to the UN building in Geneva. In Buddhist philosophy the time it takes to take on a new incarnation in one of the six realms of existence. Palden is now almost 80 years old and still travels the world to protest the Human Rights abuses by the Chinese regime and the lack of the International Community to do something substantial to help the sufferings of the Tibetan people.
Before i became an engaged Human Rights activist i’ve been working as a guard at death’ door in the terminal home care. So i understand what you’re saying in your blog. Suffering is an integral part of existence and accepting it is a great step forward in developing peace of mind. The most important of all is not to ignore or deny it, being there and then sometimes…. we’re given the opportunity to really do something about it. The older we get the more death will encircle us until it’s our own time to leave everything, what we thought of was ours, behind. Alone we started our path and alone we’ll leave it again. Carl Jung said that most of us don’t understand death because we look at it with our ego’s but if we look deeper we’ll understand that death in fact is a liberation and a reason for joy because our soul will meet up again with the missing part and becomes whole again.
Dear Kaycie, be well and stay well, greetings from the lowlands, Willem

Thanks for the healing energy, may take a big gun also today:)
What a beautiful picture, thanks for sharing. I took a picture of this tree in our city, in the spring the leaves are green with white around the edges and then in the fall it looks like this, I did find the name once but long lost now. I think they come from the Vermont area if my memory is working today. Always loved it and wanted one:) Your tree in the background just made me look in this blender computer for it!
Thanks Kaycie you are a gem.
Lots of Love Ken xxxooo
