I had a motor bike accident with a pushcart, my bike was totally broken, had to pay a lot to fix it,
but i was happy for i was alive and nothing happened to me, the feeling of being alive overshadowed the pain of fixing the motor bike! although it wasn't my mistake.

Our national reactions to violence always seems to be more violence (actions, words, thoughts). And yet, if the leaders were to be asked personally if they recommended that individuals keep on fighting over an incident, their answer would certainly be "no". But when it comes to countries, then the attitude is to keep escalating the violence/conflict to the point of dominance.

Thank you for reminding me about the essence of karma yoga and selfless service...My teacher, Baba Hari Dass who is a living example of the purity that you write about, stresses selfless service in every action...the results demonstrated by his students here in the United States is a beautiful ashram in Santa Cruz, CA called Mt. Madonna Center and an orphanage in Haridwar called Sri Ram Orphanage...while I find myself often caught up in unnecessary mental and emotional turmoil created by an identification with an egoic sense of individuality separate from others...it is the simple acts of service to others that gradually purifies the heart (as you say) and mind to become fit to realize the Self...and to bring the peace into the world that this site is so beautifully advocating and creating by bringing to it people like yourself who clearly are representing a peaceful presence in the world.
