Dear Majed,
I am so happy to hear from you. Yes, I will phone you as soon as possible after we enter Gaza, and I am sure we can meet. I am really looking forward to it! I will bring a camera, of course, and will be documenting the terrible devastation so that I can report it to the media when we get back home. I am hopeful that our efforts will make a difference . . . that we can really help bring peace and justice for the Palestinian people.
See you soon, Majed!
peace,
Joanna

i shall find some time for my new friend take care and pray for peace for all the worlds suffering, we must remember all in the world not just our own suffering. take this beautiful tibetan prayer flag and fly it on your internet travels. do not be fearful of others cultures or religions, this is the cause or most wars on the planet, this continual denial of acceptance by so many cultures, we may call the omnicient one we follow by many differant names, but in the never ending cycle of life we all come and go from the same origin, so all these wars are of no value to anyone, they just cause more division and grief. till we meet again. also im on paltalk.com in the human rights section, but i beleive people in the middle east need a paid nicname to get onto this site, if u make it on there, there is hardly any palestinians in the human rights section, there are many people on all sides either causing more grief or peace, we need more peace makers in this section.

Dear Majed,

IT"S HAPPENING! I will be part of the international delegation of peace activists arriving in Rafah (Egypt) on March 7th. We are going to try and cross in to Gaza. Hopefully we'll make it. If not, we will set up camp at the border with banners and signs saying to lift the seige, etc. The women who are organizing it have been to Gaza recently, and apparently have contacts there. But It would be wonderful to meet you, and if we get in to Gaza I think it should be possible. I will keep you posted as I get more information!

The same day that we arrive, over 100 trucks full of supplies (food, medicine etc) will be arriving from England.

I am very hopeful that something very good will come of all of this!

Peace, salaam, shalom to you, wonderful friend!

Joanna

Dear Majed, I am going to organize a little art festival with moms and children here in Japan. We are going to make some art and collect donations. The children will send art and photos of life in Japan. The moms and I will make dream pillos with lavender and other herbs, which give good restful sleep. Japan has lots of crayons , pencils and art things to give for the children of Gaza. It is a small project and I dont know how much i can raise but it will bring awreness and joy for the kids. I am very glad to be your friend and will stay in contact about this. Japan is a little isolated when it comes to outside news, its covered on the media and then gone...this will be a good reminder. Japan knows alote about suffering and war, children make origami cranes every year for the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki...there heart are full
peace to you

Hi Majed,
I haven't heard back from anyone at CODE PINK yet--I don;t know why. I'm going away for the weekend, so you may want to try contacting them directly, yourself. The contact woman's name is Nancy Mancias. Her phone number is 415-342-6409, and the email address is gaza.codepink@gmail.com.

Three of the women have just returned from Gaza, so the group may well already have contacts and friends there, I simply don't know. They will be supporting the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, The Gaza Community Mental Health Programme, the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.

Good luck, and I will get in touch with you when I get back home on Sunday evening or Monday morning.
salaam, shalom,
Joanna

Dear Majed,

Thanks so much for your interest and offers to help the delegation of women peace activists coming to Gaza. I HOPE to be with the women, but that is not 100% decided yet.I am in Canada, and most of them are in the United States. I will be speaking with them probably later today, and I will tell them about you and your offer.

Many, many thanks for your wonderful work, Majed. Don't ever give up. You are a shining beacon of light in this world of so much suffering.

I'll contact you again as soon as I have more information about the trip.

peace, salaam, shalom,
Joanna

Dear Majed, maybe, the message I sent to you, yesterday, was not so very clear, maybe it caused a misunderstanding. So I try to say it now very clearly: I fully trust in you and Raied and in OUR Parcel Project. That's why it was so important for me, to get a flyer for winning much more people, who will send parcels. I've already given those flyers to friends and parents of my daughter's friends, and they are all very open to this idea and have NO problems with trust. This morning, at Kara's school, a woman, who got the flyer yesterday, shouted to me (while I went up and she down the stairs): "This idea with the parcel is super! In the weekend, I'll pack a parcel with all the children (she is living in a big patchwork-family)!" A strong light was shining out of her face. I think, she is sooo happy to be able to do something for the children in Gaza.
Those two questions / thoughts, I mentioned yesterday, are not mine. For me, everything concerning the project is good and clear. What I meant yesterday, are questions, that could come from those school directors I want to go to during the next days and weeks. Before those officially persons say "Yes, that's great, we will support this!", they want to know everything very clearly and they want to be able to trust in the project and the people managing it. Those school directors don't know you and Raied, and they probably cannot imagine, how it works. A lot of people go to the schools and ask for help and support for this and that. So, if I go there, I should have the best and most concrete information available. And I want to be prepared for the questions, they could ask me.
Denise, who had got a copy of the message I had sent to you, already gave me some information and mentioned, that Raied will give some information into the Aid Group.
So, everything is okay now, and I really hope, that the first parcels will arrive soon at the hospital. Then everything will become more concrete and joyful. And in a few minutes, I try to meet the director of my daughter's school and win him for the project.
I'm sooo glad, that you, help to organize this valuable aid. Thank you, Majed! Sunny greetings from a city, where a growing number of people are getting in a lightful contact with the children of Gaza! Sabine

hello majed, thx for the invitation to your house in Gaza.
Stil i can not give you any garanty that i will come to visit.
I am going to the walk about love (www.walkaboutlove.com) and this is a walk of thoussand kilometers during three months. there is no need for me being there in Gaza. There is no need for me to be on the walk about love either. I do not want to believe in need anymore. it is an llusion. Need feeds the parastic system we want to escape from still I feel inside how much love there is in me to walk the walk about love. I allready visualsed myself being between palestinans from gaza too. So i will see what wil happen. So please re-member you do not need me. I just follow my heart and inner voice. I will see where that might bring me. inshallah. I know we can give eachother a big hug soon. where that will be???? maybe in gaza, maybe in jerusalem. maybe somewhere else. I know i am free, i know every being has the right to be free.
if you believe that too. than reply every day, every moment, as much as you like. I have the right to be free. I am free. We call this affirmations. by repeting them they rewrite ourthinking in the brain of being imprisoned. every time you see thefences again or the wall. visualise Gaza without wall, without fences. See yourself runnig and jumping over the fields in joy with a free feeling hand in hand with a Israeli brother and or sister. keep hope high.

Love U1

Yes i hope we can collaborate in some way too, keep up the good work my friend. Mairead is a great source of inspiration for me too, she leaded the nonviolent peace movement in my country in the height of the troubles, stood up for justice and reconciliation when most could only see revenge and violence as solutions. It took a long time for us to realize, violence only sets things back and prevents real solutions. Of course there is still much work to be done in ireland, communities still split in half (even when both are christian, with slightly different practices), it will take generations to expel sectarian fear.
keep my in formed of your activities, and i can relay to Mairead and post information on our website - http://www.peacepeople.com
god bless
rick
