I wish I could make such a move myself but I'm kind of caught up in this city for now. Amazing what you tell me about your sons. I've only known one family in my life that has a fair blue eyed son and a dark skinned daughter. In that case the mother is black. But the Mic Macs, being the keepers of the eastern door, were always the first ones to have contacts with the whites. Most of them are fair and light skinned, more than other Native nations. In fact, when the French arrived in 1604, the Mic Macs greeted them with the sign of the cross, their chief was called Membertou, he was light skinned, blue eyed and bearded. Celts and Vikings had had contacts with them before.

I'm sure that with the good education you provided for your sons they have turned into good hearted loving men. Thank you for this work.

Don't worry about your availability. I also have things to take care of when I leave my computer aside. But it always feel good to connect here again with dear friends and allies. It's always the right time to send a smile. Every one of your messages is truly appreciated.

I spent time with several Mic Macs, went to their reserves and did sweat lodge with them. One of my film is on the teachings of a Mic Mac elder for whom I did translation.
