Of course I want to be your friend.
In striving for peace we have to get the concepts right. So I had to correct that peace"warrior".
Hopefully the "warrior" thinking/proganda, that the israelis is sending out will one day give way for a more profund way of looking at the world, and at themselves.

Hello Christine -- Thank you again. I'm sorry to say I am very "dumb" I(well, OK, unskilled) when it comes to using a social networking site and I already feel that I am on the computer too much already. But I just sent you a friend request. As far as Achinoam's comment: I think whenever people are in a false position, and have to justify the unjustifiable, they become irascible, to put it mildly. I feel great pity for her and all Israelis who have no control over the tragic situation. -- Janet

Dear Christine, thank you for your comment; I'm glad to know my comment on the blog was helpful to you. I understand that first impulse that you describe. I spent many years being very political (my BS degree is in political science) and quick to be angry about injustices of many kinds, etc. After I began meditating in 1990, however, I gradually came to another way of being and seeing the world, and another way of being an "activist." There is a term for it now - "subtle activism" - believing that the quality of our collective consciousness can do as much to change the world for the better as can more visible forms of action. And the quality of our collective consciousness depends on the thoughts we think and the way we language things and the way we process what we feel. Soon, I hope to begin blogging on ipeace and so sharing more that I hope may be helpful around these themes. Let's do stay in touch! In peace and with love, Lynda

I know everyone here is contributing in their own way to the Peace of the planet. I believe it is increasing exponentially, and we are well on our way to seeing Peace Prevail on Earth. But it has to start with each individual experiencing and being Peace, and then living it and encouraging all.
