To a critical outsider such as I am (must be my 17 years as a union branch secretary, huh ?) it all looks like self-promotion and makes me think of my original idea when I wrote you yesterday (I do not mean the second posting of mine but the first). After all, one posting after another with all these links all the time, in the real world would be deemed harassment or 'hard selling' techniques.

Michael, sorry for being such a bore but I received this and don't quite understand the meaning behind it.....Others on the site seem to be in the same state of flux regards the wording. NobMichody understands what you are trying to say.

People are treating it with 'kid gloves' and are a little bewildered. As am I.....What exactly is it you're saying within the lines ? What 'policy' of Ning's ?
After all what is the 'losing touch' statement about ?
I'm sure you will be able to clarify the blog for all to understand. You see, from what I can gather (and others think the same), for someone not at all interested in the running of the site/ new admin position etc., you haven't stopped advertising (which is why everyone and their dog are a little dubous. You see we all received a message warning us about certain 'practises' that possibly could or are linked to your good self).
Anyhow, Michael, I am sure you will be able to clear up this bewilderment many on iPeace, including myself, find our selves in.
Very soon, we may be lose contact due to the new ning policies and site setup. As we have gotten to know each other over a long time and over a vast spread of networks, I would consider it a great loss to lose contact with you all. As there has been so much going on within this site over the past week, it seems iPeace is finally coming back together again (after two members feeling they had to leave due to all the uproar. A big shame).
When I saw your link etc. it felt like the place was open to abuse, so to speak. I find it better to have things in the 'open' as it were, and so appreciate your replying to me.
I think as long as iPeace pulls nobody in from an outside body, the site will keep its strength (the old 'united we stand, divided we fall' adage must be acted on).
I sincerely apologise if any of my words caused offence. I can be straightforward in my missives at times.
I notice you nominate yourself as the new administrator. You also state you believe the site to be closing.
I find both of those very odd, but only due to your adding the link to a website organisers agency (I am sure there is another title that you would rather use, but as I've just logged onto the place and viewed several of the member's pages, then I use the word 'Agency' as that is what it would be if it were not in this virtual world of ours).
I am sure there are enough capable people to take the admin position if it is ever required, all of whom will have a LEGITIMATE and VALID reason for taking the job on. They will NOT be using the position for self-promotion or for their cv's !
Your kind offer has been passed around the message board and i think it may be a matter of, 'Don't call us, we'll call you'.
