LOL!! You can guess who I voted for?? Would I be here if I had not voted for Obama? Not that I agree with him on all issues.. if fact I disagree on many. But there is at least now hope that we may be heard. I am still struggling to write what many of us in the US just experienced on an emotional level. Some of the most cynical were weeping. Not at Obama the man. But at what he symbolizes. When I was very small I lived in Kansas City, where there were separate drinking fountains for Blacks and Whites. The symbol of the change that this election represents is very hard to express.
People were dancing in the streets, spontanous expressions.. not again because of Obama, but because we have had hope renewed for a world of Peace and Justice. The work has only begun. But there has been an enormous shift
Si Se Puede/ Yes We Can.. were the words we sang 40 years ago trying to get basic rights for Farmworkers in the US,, led by Chavez and his powerful message of dignity and non violence. I think those words should be translated and shouted all over this world.
I have few resources at the moment.I am getting a box of emergency food in a few hours. But I can speak, I am alive, I am privileged to be here, to listen , learn, and try to help in any way I can.

Thank you for adding me as a friend. I hope to learn much from you.
Those of us who live in the US are hungry for ways we can address and change our own Government's Policy that is perpetuating War in the Mid East . We mmay now have a window for change. Yes We Can

i came across ipeace only a couple of days ago. the middle east situation is close to my heart as i am jewish, but i do not know much about middle eastern politics, nor do i wish to do so, as sometimes politics gets in the way of understanding, with arguments degenerating into slanging matches about who did what to whom and who has been hurt the most. all conflict hurts, injures and kills others, there are always 'rights' and 'wrongs' on both sides. perhaps i am just naiive in thinking this way. all i know is that we have to look forward with hope in our hearts, so that the peoples of this little planet of ours will reach a place where there really is understanding between nations. only then will we be able to celebrate our differences, and live together in peace and love. shalom, salaam, pax.
