May the energies of heaven rain down and through on your awakening heart. May you be free. May the spirit of Love inform all you are and do. May you be free.
May the Lord of Peace, who is your own soul, be your ground. May you be free.
I have just lit a beautiful candle for peace. It is large and multi-coloured, like the human spirit. It is the first day of a new year, a year I have good feelings for. I started the New Year celebrating in a deep way with friends on a retreat based on the Dances for Universal Peace (http://dancesofuniversalpeace.org/about.htm). We danced dances based on ancient Middle Eastern Goddess Religion. We meditated and prayed for peace in the troubled areas of the world, recognising that pain, within and without, and I felt the balm of golden light.
I have a sense of a deep healing current of Love and an opening into new understanding. Possibility. May it bless us all. May we rise to its beckonings. May we be ready.
This candle burns for the earth, as my heart burns for the earth. I am singing for the earth, for our journey in this new year.

May your mind inhabit your life with the same sureness with which your body belongs in the world.
May the sense of something absent enlarge your life.
May your soul be as free as the ever-new waves of the sea.
May you succumb to the danger of growth.
May you live in the neighbourhood of wonder.
May you belong to love with the wildness of dance.
May you know that you are ever-embraced in the kind circle of God.
