- All of the other reasons are significant but fear is the thread that binds them... fear of losing what you have, fear of people you don't understand or who have a different language or religion or who might want to change your way of life, fear of being hurt or subjugated... and that fear causes some people to resort to violence in an effort to protect what they think will be taken from them...

- I am a committed peace activist and optimist. Despite the challenges those of us face who want a fairer and more peaceful world, I still believe that we can bring it about if enough of us stand up for what we believe in.

Strength in numbers

One of the immediate feelings that iPeace has given me is the strength, motivation and energy that comes from being - if only virtually - with like-minded people, particularly people who share such optimism and commitment as iPeace members seem to.
