Glad that we are friends. clclay does not have anything to do with clay, cl=d, so it's dday, which is my birthday.

I do love pottery though and did it at school and enjoyed it very much, my best piece exploded in the kiln unfortunately :(

Down for the count ( for protesters throughout the world)
By james a. galgano

One of those long and endless sorrows
That chips the soul piece by piece from the heart
Turning yesterdays hopes into dark lonely nights
Which makes you question was it really worth
all the time you dearly borrowed on some elusive star
which always seemed within your enthusiastic reach
before it became twice as far to claim as your own
like a boxer down to his last nine count you wavered alone

yet something inside you would not let defeat come so easily
you came back for more with a dreamers determined glee
taking all the punches daily life had to give you all the more
never looking for an exit for you had been through that before
defeat was no longer a taste you would resigned savor
it was now high time to set things finally right
there was more to lose than routine living
you were fighting for more than you tonight

true you might have been merely one fighting the powerful few
but your cause was truly just thus it was the least you could do
even in your darkest moments when despair seemed to claim victory
you came back with dogged determination to continue to struggle
for your own and others liberty not because everyone loves a hero
but because this was your destiny from common birth till today
standing up against all the odds and wrongs within this world
giving it all you had and more to right it all forevermore

Tomorrow night by james a. galgano

Where are these eyes once so intent
Bent upon visions now deliriously unclear
Yet focused upon each movement sublime
Wistfully wondering beyond my sight
While wandering through aimless tomorrows
Endless promise of delight
Here is where I once stood locked within your charm
Never imagining a morrow so alarmed
Hold me closely while I exhale each fear
As death lingers too uncomfortably near
Here where I lie so unobtrusively awake
Counting each fading memory
With accompanying promise to relieve each heartbreak
This was never as I thought it would be
Who would have wondered this time?
Not I obviously, as nightmares linger
Toward me with their endless laughter
While I cling to what came before soon ever after
As each memory fades into oncoming night
Where we once stood so close together
Embracing delight now quickly passing
With each straining breath, thereupon
A familiar distant veranda unnoticed by death
Holding my hand gently
While darkness lingers near
Beyond a flickering candle from which
I am unable to steer this sinking ship
Into a safe harbor I once knew
In the eyes of a child who never had a clue
It would end such as this
With my eyes clinging to such unfamiliar bliss
