When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I'm just a peaceful person
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Inflation, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom, Other
So what is it?
The way our food is produced
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Other
More
All of them contribute - greed, hatred, fear, economic disparity, prejudice, religion, ignorance, ill health mentally and physically. Different issues for different people. Forgiveness is a positive step to world peace, so is care and consideration for others, walking a mile in someone else's shoes, the level of one's health can also contribute and therefore creating a healthy environment and feeding everyone properly on this planet will also make a difference.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
A picture can say a thousand words, I am a photographer, the work that will come through this page speaks better than I can about myself.
I think we share a beautiful planet and I love the natural world. I love to breathe fresh air, feel a gentle wind about, look at the different skies we have night and day, see the beauty of the flora and fauna, listen to babbling brooks and crashing waves, and being in the cooling shade of mighty trees - these are the things that bring me to a space of peace.
The question above, where it says "when it comes to peace how would you describe yourself"? It depends, sometimes I am very active and sometimes I am a pacifist... different situations bring forth different characteristics...
And, many thanks for taking the time to view the videos of photographs of places with original music composed and performed by Patrick Leonard and Shenkar - as a duo and individually.
The subjects are places considered sacred, mysterious or powerful - well known historical monuments around the world shrouded in myth and legend. Master builders of the past had a clear understanding of humanity's intrinsic connection to the cosmos and the natural flow of earthly energies. May these be inspiring, and bring you peaceful moments of time out from our fast paced and intense world. The Sphinx, is an energetic piece, and reflects how I found the Giza Plateau to be - a palpable fountain of high energy.
The Music from Udistam: Patrick Leonard and Shenkar "The recording was done almost entirely live. Very little, in fact in most cases nothing was done afterwards except mixing. This was important, as we wanted the work to feel like a meditation. We quickly realized that in order to achieve this it needed to be performed while in as calm a state as we could reach together, and with as much done in the moment as possible. It was often a great challenge in the discipline it required for us to remain still in the midst of our storms. We want to thank everyone who listened and God for the calm that always follows. We would like to dedicate this to our children as a prayer for their futures."
Thanks for your nice words. The video is beautiful, the images and the music are haunting and peaceful at the same time, thanks for sending it to me ...
