What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?: War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom

What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Religion

More: Religion by its very nature is divisive and presents the world and ‘us’ and ‘them’ – those on the side of their god and those that aren’t … those that are right and those that are wrong. So many have given up their free will and suspended their own logic and reason for ‘faith’ – some to the point they would butcher their own for ‘god’. It saddens me like little else that so much needless suffering goes on because people are making choices and taking actions they believe will get them to whatever next life their particular brand of superstition offers, not living this one and making this world a better place for everyone in the here and now.

Can we change the world?: Definitely

More about me: I am a generally happy, upbeat single mother of two teenage sons. I’m an Electronic Engineering Technologist, part time student, and an active volunteer who enjoys making a difference, no matter how small.
