How to Save the World Interview with Robert Thurman

The Transcendent Nation Foundation asks the question of "how to save the world" in a series of interviews with elders, celebrities and scholars known for their contributions to the evolution of humankind and the preservation of life on this planet—be it in spheres of social, environmental, or spiritual consciousness.

Robert A.F. Thurman is the Jey Tsong Khapa Professor of Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies in the Department of Religion at Columbia University and co-founder and President of Tibet House US, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Tibetan culture.

"Save the world by giving it up" that's really true, because while we are bonded to the outer world with power, greed and overestimation of ourselves, we can't achieve our inner peace which is needed to transform the outer world.
