AVANI (Ar-vanni = "Earth" in Sanskrit) is a village based community development project in the Kumaon Himalayas. Founded and run by two Delhi-ite Osho sannyasins for the past ten years, it focuses on alternative energy generation and textile production. Chinmaya's short documentary shows the community's many facets, and it's wonderful setting at the foot of 25,000 foot Nanda Devi. A remix of a track from one of his 1990's Cd releases provides the soundtrack.

nice... very well done!! I had the chance to meet Rashmi and Rajnish a couple of years ago, during their visit to Italy to participate to a textile fair... Alessandra Labate (may be you know her as she is based in Goa) introduced them to me... very special people doing very special things!
