It appears this movie has a great story line. Being a true story makes it that much better. I would love to see the full movie. I pray for a huge release in the USA. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
We have a French Distributor - UGC PH. They like the film but are uncertain of its box office potential, so they are sitting on it until the film proves itself in America. Why not write to them and tell them you've seen the trailer and think it would go down a storm in France? They need all the encouragement they can get (distributors are very frightened of losing money and this is considered a 'high risk' film...)
We are currently preparing releases of SKIN in the UK, South Africa and the US. Still raising money for the US release but hoping it won't be long now - the response to the film in recent months has been overwhelming. This is all from the public not the distributors. Our goal is to give the public the chance to decide and bypass the studios, who - bizarrely - can't see the potential here. Thanks for all your support - and do spread the word! Will keep you all posted re: release dates in various cities. The most up to date information will be on the SKIN website, www.skinthemovie.net.

These type of experiences were happening within the Latina families I knew in East Harlem (El Barrio). The Negrito or Negrita got treated very differently from his or her brother and sisters. The power dynamics may have been different due to not being linked to a white heritage but the feelings of being different due to skin color within a family were and still are real.
