Our Little Contributions to Peace

If there is one thing you think you can do each day to contribute to peace, what could it be? For me, I would say it would be to treat each person I meet with love and kindness - to look beyond all stereotypes and radiate generosity. Sounds easier than it is when your boss is screaming and you've met Murphy's Law for the 2nd time that day! What is your daily contribution?

Well done in making his confront his conditioning Chuck, it isn't easy, I have spent three years on a forum with respectfully well worn Vets and greybeards as a support member, and perhaps in the past I wasn't looking deeply at what one or two where trying to say about their political stance; it hurts; I have left here for awhile till I look deeply at what I am going to say to them- the right way is not always the right way eh and with age doesn't come wisdom all the time, just entrenched beliefs that need someone to take the time to chip away at them.

I try to pick up some garbage when I hike every day. Every little bit counts. I try to smile a lot to people even when I feel they are not so kindly to me. Above all I try to participate in the great task of spreading around real knowledge and different points of view that is why I keep myself up on the events of the world a good place to do that is with the peoploes sponsored media.

Hey Maya,
Keeping a smile on my face where people frown and trying to look for the humorous side of the more difficult situations is my way to contribute to peace. I helps me speak my politically incorrect views in public and gives me the strenghth to walk the uneven and tortuous road to normal, peaceful relations with our Arab neighbours. Did I mention cooperation and friendship as a goal ? Perhaps not tomorrow, but certainly the day after.

My no.1 contribution is to meet with the source of peace. As a wave gradually settles and merges with the silent ocean, so does my mind settle, gradually expanding until it merges with the ocean of silent wakefulness.

I dip my mind in nature's mind, some tension goes away, and I return into time and space with a little more peace of mind, a little more peaceful thoughts, and a little more peaceful speech and actions. Nothing beats the source of peace. It is ever full.

Throughout human history , we have quarreled , bickered and argued , over who understands our
Spiritual feelings , the best . There is a GREATNESS out there , and we can feel " IT " deeply .
The more that we learn about , Life on this planet , and the hugeness of the universe , the
more the GREATNESS is realized . and felt inside of us .

Yet our natural feelings , of Love for our offspring , and Love for our beautiful home ( this Earth )
seem to diminish , as our Love for the GREATNESS increases . If we can come back to Earth
a bit , with our Spiritual feelings , the down to Earth part of our Love , can reconnect , with
our roots . Honoring and respecting , our ancestors and our children , can be restored , and be
what fuels us to work in Peace and Prosperity .
