Dear Friend May your ways continue to be pleasant and all your paths be peaceful. May the grace of God be with you always in your ensuing days. I Wish you a very warm and happy birthday
There are many ways of presenting oneself I do it through my writings *smile*
So much around us and inside us is sad so ”We cannot always Shine” that is OK. Admitting our sorrow and grief is the first step to healing and peace. And remember ”Grief is not a disease ”We can also find ourselves through ”Sagas, Dreams and Myths” within witch so much human wisdom is hidden.
We can close our eyes and just remember through all the music our heart and soul has saved, and we can share it with others in ”Unforgettable Music”
We can travel to get inspiration and understanding for our different cultures. Why not go to ”Sweden starting in Lapland” You will find my roots there involved in the midnight sun and the northern light *smile*
But you do not have to travel so far to find what counts the most in life ; ”small close things” which surround us all but to which we do not pay enough attention
Hi Bertie;
Of course I've heard of Bayonne. I can't say I've ever been there though. I didn't get to northern NJ much. Only went through there a few times on my way to NYC or back to my folks place in Palmyra.
SOrry to hear you've been ill. I hope it passes soon. I deal with chronic illnesses and can relate. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'm not currently married but am engaged to a man in Morocco. I've been trying to get together the money for my ticket there for the past two years. Being unable to work and fighting SSA for Disability has made getting money impossible. I live on a very small amount from the state which leaves me out of money before I even get it. I was married twice before and have two kids from other relationships that I raised mostly by myself. They're grown up and in their own lives now. James is 24 and April is 21. I have a 4 yr old granddaughter from my son too although he's not with her mother.
Your travels sound beautiful. I've lived in the mountains of Western PA myself, other than NJ and NYC. I absolutely LOVED it there! I was dragged back to NJ after my life fell apart due to substance abuse. Thank God for my family. They got me through it and clean for over 15 years now. Once the gangs and drugs moved into my home town though I had to get out of there and remove my kids from what was bound to become a dangerous situation. Not only for them but for me too. Being in that kind of atmosphere would not have been intelligent for me to remain in so I moved them to here.
Morocco is absolutely beautiful and has history back to the 600s and earlier. The one city we hope to live in was founded in the 700s. It was called Mogador then but is called Essaouira now. It's on the ocean (I MISS the ocean!!) and a small fishing village. I can't wait to get there and change pace from what I'm used to there to the laid back attitudes and pace of life there. I also look forward to the mosques and hearing the Azan (call to prayer) 5 times a day. Being around other Muslims is something I want SO MUCH. It's not a faith that's to be practiced alone. Here I'm a target, there I'd blend in. I like that.
Ya know, I've never been further west than Chicago? Wow. I've missed seeing a lot of our beautiful country. Maybe after I get settled in Morocco (whenever that will be) and get healthier we can come visit here so that Mbarek (my fiance) can see America and I can see it through his eyes. He doesn't want to live here. Our life is there. He has his family and property there but would like to see where I've been and seen in my life and meet what family will still talk to me. LOL
Thank you for your greeting. :) Nice to meet you Bertie. Where in NJ are you? I was raised across from Philly and lived in NYC over 25 years ago. I left NJ the final time in '98, living in Michigan now.
TY for the compliment on my bags. I haven't made many recently but am working on a few now that I haven't listed yet. I've been occupied by real life and illness.
How are you today Bertie? I'm sorry I haven't been by sooner but I was away for a couple weeks and just trying to get caught up now. :D How do you like the community so far? Hello Bertie! I agree with your thoughts on peace. It must start in our own heart first and spread outwardly to others. We can pay lip service to it and pretend we're happy if we have resentful and angry thoughts eating away at our brain! Please accept my friend request. I will be away for a few days but I would like to get to know you better! :D Have a wonderful week! Peace and Love! --Christie
I am very thankful for your kindness and friendship my best friend Bertie. It's an honor for me to be your friend my lady
have a great day to you and your beloved ones
