Barack Obama's candidacy and election have provided inspiration for all of us. The week of the election, I started thinking about the word CHANGE, and realized that if I stacked it on three lines, I could extract the word CAN from it just by changing the color. I then added the word we into the H. Although I did design a version on four lines with WE on its own line, it meant having to introduce another color, so I stayed with this design. I'm glad you like my avatar. A similar sign was used in protests against the Vietnam War (and subsequent anti-war protests) and by the counterculture as a sign of peace. Because the hippies of the day often flashed this sign (palm out) while vocalizing "Peace", it became popularly known (through association) as the peace sign.This international anti-war symbol, when peace-activists protested against the Republican adminstration nearly 40 years ago, was just as relevant over the last 8 years!
