When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I feel the pain in the world
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
Other
So what is it?
the elimination of the "FED, the IRS, the CIA, the FBI etc" and other anti people government groups.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Other
More
all of the above... ego... not that I buy into sin but the seven deadly sins covers the ills well. We live in a "taker" society... we came from a "leaver" society. We need to move "back to the future".... (cute hey?) and become what what we were.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I'm a drummer... love the outdoors... I bike, canoe, camp, garden . I haven't paid property taxes for years now and they are starting to get annoyed with me. Too bad. I won't pay for a system that makes war criminals out of us all.... they represent us... not the other way around.

You said; What inspires me about the Martin Luther King speech is the resilience of a group of people who are beaten down, but who manage to find the strength within themselves to overcome their hardships.
I agree. I too have struggled to understand religious people. What have you found that works? I have listened to them and let them corrupt and frighten the ones around them, especially the young ones. When I tell them that I have a faith stronger than anything that they have ever experienced they become a bit curious and when I suggest that god would surely find a way to get ALL of god's children to heaven... they look at me with a blank stare. Then they ask if there is no punishment or reward... why do good? I say that I don't "need" a reward to do good so why should they? They always walk away in disbelief that people are capable of being altruistic, I think because they are mostly fear based.

Hi Brian,
Thank you for your friendship! What kind of music do you play?
In response to your comment about the Martin Luther King speech....most of my life I have despised religion and all the destruction it has caused in the world. Although I still have many problems with it, I am struggling to try and understand religious people as I feel it is critical that we all find some way to connect. Also, I have realized that the contempt I felt towards religion was only contributing to the divisiveness in this world. I certainly will never succumb to the the manipulation of religion, but I have chosen to try and relate to all people as just people. They choose their path, I choose mine. What inspires me about the Martin Luther King speech is the resilience of a group of people who are beaten down, but who manage to find the strength within themselves to overcome their hardships. It is proof that if we join together, we can lift the weight of injustice. It's unfortunate that people rely on superstitious beliefs, and although I don't share these beliefs, I respect them as human beings. I don't believe in the idea of evil. The human species is suffering from mental and spiritual illness -religion is a mass psychosis, and has nothing to do with the spirituality of our interconnectedness with each other and the planet.
Lots of love,
~Susie
Hi Brian,
If only everyone would stop paying their taxes. There is so much apathy and people don't even stop to think about possible alternatives. They don't realize that they are numbed by their fear. We the people need to start taking matters into our own hands. I don't understand why the majority of the population still believe that governments are representing us and that they care. Well that's my little rant for today!
