- Jerry Jeremiah is a writer and holds a degree in Batchelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Ryerson University. Having immigrated to Toronto at the tender age of four, learning to write and read English was definitely a challenge to be met head on. His childhood influences include the works of Shel Silverstein, Roald Dahl and Robert Munsch. As a child he aspired to not only write, but to pursue a career in film and television as well. His works in film included spots on Mean Girls, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and a commercial spot for the Reel Asian Film Festival in 2004. His work in television includes such television shows as Degrassi the Next Generation, Queer as Folk and Instant Star. Alongside his passion for the performing arts he also aspires to work with children and is currently working on producing children’s fiction as well as compiling original poetry and short stories soon to be published. He is extremely grateful for the support received from family and friends and will continue to use them as a source of inspiration for writing and performing for years to come!
