I read somewhere that when you perform a Random Act of Kindness you release seratonin (the hormone that tells us that all is well in the world) in the brain..... And the people that you are giving Ramdom Acts of Kindness feel good...... And, people seeing the Ramdon Acts of Kindness also get the same effect.... So, I have started noticing Random Acts of Kindness and how many people one Random Act of Kindness would benefit..
Here is one of my Random Acts of Kindness: In a movie line up at Eau Clair Market, I overheard a conversation behind me, a young couple late for “Slum Dog Millionaire”... I let them go ahead of me, as my movie wasn’t for another half hour...... Another group, this time five Asian youth were all fidgety because they were late for the movie “Slum Dog Milliionaire”... I let them go ahead...... Two guys behind me talking about being late for “Slum Dog Millionaire”.. I let them go ahead....... A young couple behind me (the young man in crutches), I let them go ahead.. just because....... An older couple behind me… late for their movie.. I let them go ahead....... So, I spent about fifteen minutes in the movie line up letting people go ahead, and they were so gracious..
So, I felt good (release of seratonin in the brain) for doing my Random Acts of Kindness.... the people I helped felt good (release of seratonin in the brain).. and all the people who saw my Random Act of Kindness felt good (release of seratonin in the brain)...
