Pent Up Grammar [Pt. XIII]

purely grammatically, practically random
phrases poised precisely, prioritized programmatically,
perfectly- alliterating almost arrogantly
guaranteeing interpretation, intense
in pace- inward reflections outward
displayed pointedly. providing insight
into grammar, gradually... pent up
too long, left alone long enough
to investigate... incontrovertible
evidence of malfeasance detected
conveyed cautiously; encoded, educated,
energized against advancing echelons
of marauding mortgage servicers
bankrupt banks, inadequate insurers
and unwinnable wars waged wantonly
wondering ‘aloud’ already whether waiting
is appropriate or if Now is all, tending
to the latter- letting go- ladder up.
climbing, care-free; timeless progress
taking into account; calling out for a
count.
practically grammatically, painstakingly
redundantly reasoning- re-issuing humanity.


Step One (to Humanity)

talk about a lousy play on words
haphazard abuse, short little blurbs-
thoughts connected, maybe, but only barely
holding together and making sense only rarely
making no cents, not a single dime
writing for free- i don’t know i’ll get by
putting it out there, giving it away
tell me, please, if this is what you’d say
or somewhere close- i’m speaking for you
i just want to know how to get through
make use of this gift- just enough talent to write
straight to you- start to finish- black and white
seeing a world being bombed into pieces
trying to demonstrate exactly what peace is
a world without war, a world without fighting
a world without worry, assaults or rioting
to believe it comes soon would be naive
but we can make it better, we don’t get to leave
we’re stuck- here, together- one way or another
so our first step is to recognize the other as brother.



Suffering, No One

suffering- silently sounding out sympathy
internalizing all of it, utilizing empathy
caring despite myself- i think i’m in need
of something- healthcare (broken jaw, anxiety...?)
no... don’t try and make me take the pill
i feel a little pain (alleviating)- i’m not ill
not suffering... anyone? listen to this
i’m done with it all- i don’t have to take it
i now find myself newly hardwired, connected
seemingly alone but no longer rejected
suffering somewhat- diminishing- a bit of sympathy?
unnecessary... only asking for Nothing- empathy
feeling the fall-out of forgotten intrusions
watching me through this painstaking delusion
taken in by emotion- most likely some confusion
hurry, quickly... i need an infusion of Nothing
special. sympathetic, empathetic- a little humanity
hold on to it tight as we bridge this insanity
crossing it, writing it off, shortening the list
seeing a living being, not potential terrorist
in every one of them... soundlessly, word-fully pleading
begging for you to hear, praying someone is heeding
my advice that violence breeds only what it is
sanctioned or not, all it’s good for is terrorism
suffering no one, showing sympathy, empathetic
seemingly weak, maybe, but it's only aesthetic
maybe... but this is the silent sound of sympathy
internalizing all of this is insuring humanity
sounding it out is sorting it out.
save our society- practice empathy.
