Age of Man
Near start of the time of man
Village became two
They had food to eat and give
The people see each other
From hill to settled hill
Each a home to feed and live
Each soul could look at the peace in their life
Each man had fam’ly and friend
They called over woods.
To their brothers greetings sent
Each woman had fond held lover
They met in shaded glen
Love and smiles were often sent
Each heart could look at the comfort in their life
One lone hunter killed a bear
And skinned a sacred pelt
Great delight a snow white hide
A feast called the word was out
To friends and fam’ly
Beckon to neighbors with shout
Each heart could see the great goals in their life.
Hunters in the guest village
Set to search their own
Snow white fur but all in vain
The task was aimed to be equals
In the hunters pride
To be without caused much pain
Each heart could feel the envy in their life
Time passed in unequal strife
The plan was to steal
To display treasure as their own
The plan was run
a trust was broken
a bond was torn
an oath was spoken
a lie was told
Love lost its token
Each heart could feel the pain of never more.
A war was waged people died
friend of son was foe
all for the sake of skin
Survivors moved away
friends and loves were lost
enemy thrones begin
Each heart could see hate
Each heart could see rage
Each heart could see scorn
Observe the human age
