Beautiful photographs

I have started this mainly for Les as he is the photographer amongst us, and this will be a place were we can all visit to see what he has snapped, rather than have then scattered about the group. My postings will mainly be what I have found on the web, I will mark the ones that were taken by either my son or daughter :) If you want to just post a photo, as many as you like, with no explanation that's fine, but if you want to let us know a little more about the image that would be great.

He is lovely... no, he is more than lovely he is beautiful. He is also a very unusual colour too, he looks dun but his mane and tail are brown. I will wait to see what Sophie thinks, she is the expert on colour genetics, she's been studying it for years.

Did you just spot him on your way back from Lincoln?

He is one of about 15-20 horses living on the equestrian centre where we were camped, so we were neighbours for a few days.

He looks like the short you would like to have as a neighbor, kind, thoughtful and reliable.

He is a lovely boy... I think he is a buckskin though, he doesn't appear to have a dorsal stripe or any webbing so he probably isn't a true dun. He is beautiful... make a good show cob.

It's not only me and Sophie that love horses, lots of females are horse mad!

You are lucky that your daughter did not get into horses, I would have cost you a fortune!

My daughter left home before she got into anything very much! Which is just as well since she has developed some rather expensive tastes, sports cars, good food and wine, distant hols etc!

I guess horses were not her thing, both I and Sophie were riding at 3 years old. Horses are just in the blood of some people, my Grandad was in the Cavalry, his horse was called Monty.

I had dreams about a horse whaen I was young, . But had to chose gymnastics..
Now my mother is crazy about horses, cats and doggiez....
