Beautiful photographs

I have started this mainly for Les as he is the photographer amongst us, and this will be a place were we can all visit to see what he has snapped, rather than have then scattered about the group. My postings will mainly be what I have found on the web, I will mark the ones that were taken by either my son or daughter :) If you want to just post a photo, as many as you like, with no explanation that's fine, but if you want to let us know a little more about the image that would be great.

Yep, my pride (s).

Their daddy is Australian (heritage from England, Ireland, Scotland, and Polish/Jewish.)

Ooooh, nice pics both! I love the soft light in your woodland scene Erika. Sue, that last one is impressive. So glad to see someone else posting too.

Sophie took this picture of Edwin's eye about a month ago, his eyes are very dark brown, but for some reason there is this unusual orange and wing like image where his iris should be and the bright beam of light too, perhaps Les will be able to explain what has happened.... I like to think that it's because he is magic :)

It looks "strange" when it's blown up like this.

I noticed that sheep have their pupils horisontally, the other way from cats.
But this eye seems to be reverse in colors..some sort of reflection.

He is magic.... he has never done a days work in his life, and he has had me doting on him for years and years!

I don't know what has gone on with the photo but the more you look at it the more you see :0)

I suspect you may want to resize this picture Sue! As for the interesting shape in the eye, it's possible this may be optical rather than photographic, possibly something on the retina at the back of the eye. I'd need to ask my daughter who is an optician. The light effects are almost certainly a result of reflection from the light source being used to take the photo.

Alternatively it could be because he is magic!
