The Islamic and Jewish (Hebrew) Calendars are both Lunar calendars. In this solar calendar year, the Jewish Rosh Hashana (New Year) holy day and the Islamic holy day Eid ul-Fitr coincide:


And so I trust that we all share these:

  • To all of the Islamic Faith: Eid Mubarak. May you celebrate the end of Ramadan with joy and praise of Allah.
  • To all Jewish People: Shanah Tovah, have a Happy and Sweet New Year; and may you be written into the Book of Life for the coming year.
  • To all People: May the coming year be one of sweetness, joy, hope and peace.
