A few thoughts spring to mind as we approach the New Year. Change in every respect – on the social, spiritual, economical, psychological and political level – pose a huge challenge. It is easy to fall into the tune of pessimism that abounds. However, a crisis at these levels is always a huge chance to reflect and a call for action.
For me personally I am convinced that the inner conciousness is a reflection of what meets us in the exterior world and is all part of the ongoing spiritual evolution.
All the pain we have suffered throughout our lives lies embedded somewhere in our physical body which constantly calls on us to transform these energies in some way. We don't want to know this truth and then fall into the trap of becoming addicted to unhealthy foods, alcohol and all the other things that do our body and mind no good.
We become lethargic in both body and mind by failing to give our body the necessary energy and exercise that it needs to transform these old energies I can speak of experience: It is painful to walk this path but very rewarding as new avenues for transformation are opened.
I am convinced that when we look at our physical body as a spiritual tool and an inner temple of growth much, much healing can be done for the world around us. We are one part of the big, beautiful matrix that constantly changes and interacts with everything.
